If you are looking to be fully informed throughout your home buying experience then think twice about Pulte. We were told we could not speak to the construction manager throughout the home build. We were told everything had to go through the sales agent. This was a nightmare. We had asked for sample tiles in the beginning and never received them until a few weeks from closing. The sales agent was pushy when it came down to the down payment and even forced us to wait three days to sign our contract because they had hit their sales number for the month. Poor quality of equipments, HVAC and AC had major issues, my tenant keeps complaining of this stuff. My intention of buying a new property was to ensure I don’t face such petty electronic issues, but Pulte made it happen. I don’t think I’ll buy another Pulte property and will inform my acquaintances too if my experience.

Home Not Finished Upon Purchase

Was promised a finished home and threatened with penalty if we didn’t close on time. Closed on time, but home wasn’t finished. Moved in without appliances being in place. Living at residence for a month and house still isn’t graded and is covered in mud. Several things not completed during last clean - basement not cleaned, nails and debris left on roof. Not a great experience.

House delivered with many quality issues in Windsor Island

I bought a house in Windsor Island Resort and paid in cash. After a little delay in the delivery, I paid for a inspection of the house, to make sure that everything was ok. To my surprise a report of 40 pages long with many things that shouldn't be broken in a new house. Purchased a spec home where most choices were already made, although I was allowed a couple of options. I requested to add a saltwater pool, got a pool but was chlorine pool, now have to pay an additional $2,000 to convert it. Was also told that I would have glass insert front door, and glass office doors, of which I got neither. Great Floor Plan, Lack of Quality Workmanship

Location and floor plan were the draw for our Pulte home purchase. After we put money down on the lot we heard throughout the design process they are a production builder. That is for sure. From limited design selections if you do not want gray to the half bath fan that never shuts off to a light switch placed in the middle of a wall forcing you to stretch to turn on, thoughtful living was not executed. Overall we can walk through our home which is expensive and see details that do not match the price we paid.

Our experience with the sales office and design center was very good. However, from the moment the building process began we discovered somethings were not the same as discussed in the sales office. We were not advised that outdoor kitchen pre-wire was an option, even though we requested it. We found no issues in the block and framing process when building our home, but when the wall went up it appeared that all hell had broke loose. Most of my issues would have been fine had the Construction Manager not overpromised everything. He set expectations that we were hoping for and the result was much much lower. The so-called "perfectionist" produced a home that clearly shows a lack of quality workmanship. Initial delay in the lot being released resulted in a 100% increase in the price for that lot. Disclosures of requested information was incorrect; we purchased the home and lot “virtually” due to the pandemic. We brought our first home with pulte. During 2022 we have signed our contract it took over 12 months for the house to finish…Taking more than an year the house came up with very bad finishing no proper cleaning lot of fixes and it’s been 3 months there are still issues when you spend over 500k in Texas it’s a big thing…they reduce lot sizes and they built very quality less houses… Please do some investigation atleast in San Antonio area when your going with pulte.

Cross country move

Lashay who was very helpful with the move in and sales. Once we moved in, our experience went completely downhill. Our project manager, Tyler, was not helpful and not willing to fix things that were found even the first week of moving in. We bought this home sight unseen all the way from San Diego and were hoping for a much better experience.

When my wife and I decided to build a new home, we had lots of excitement and anticipation. Pulte made mention early on of celebration walk just before closing. Sale process was quick, but too many issues with quality

While the buying experience was quick, and was given update on progress regularly, the quality of the house was poor, and it is taking forever to get the issues fixed. There were around 20 issues from which include some safety concerns. I am still frustrated following up on half of the pending issues 1.5 months into occupancy. My suggestion to buyers, don't close until all the issues are fixed.

We were forced to close on an incomplete home because we were told that it would be ready, closing was scheduled, therefore we ended our former accommodation. Craftsmanship leaves much to be desired. The Pulte closing team do not communicate with their own project managers or homeowners. Lived here for two months and my cabinets are not finished, missing slider door screen, unable to open windows because all the screens sag, hole in the ceiling, cracks in the stucco, grout needs to be finished, unable to plug in dryer because the drywall was over the outlet, etc. when we brought this to Pultes attention we were told to go through warranty! What?! This isn’t a warranty issue things are missing and never even were completed!

Really not happy with the awful conditions of the front and the back yards of my new build house since we closed in March . We still don’t have any sods in front and any seeds in the back, landscaping never got done for 2 months since we closed. Where as we love our new home layout, we are very disappointed with the process and quality of materials. The standard finishes are embarrassingly cheap. When you walk through the models you are tempted to mimic what you see but doing so will cost you many 10’s of thousands more. The sales and construction crew made many promises they were not able to deliver and left a terrible taste in my mouth.
