It was great until closing approached. Rather than move date back Pulte rushed. We have been in our home 6 weeks and have submitted over 30 work orders and spent hours scheduling and arguing over repairs.lte

With Pulte you get a mixed bag. Overall the people we’ve worked with directly were conscientious and well intentioned and responsive to our questions and requests. The finish workmanship detail has been very poor, especially with regard to painting (front door entry, spiral staircase, front exterior) and front brick work. Very sloppy on detail. We closed on our new home on 1/28/2021. Entered on 1st Feb,2021. We reported our dishwasher was not working and pulte seems to have know there was an issue with our dishwasher but they hid from us during closing because the red horse that supplies water to dishwasher was shut off. When we turned it on the water flooded on floor under the kitchen cabinet. We requested it to be fixed on Feb 2nd and they pronised to send a tech on Feb 23 which they later cancel on Feb 21. The price/value of the home does not equal the price. We felt rushed to go to design before we were even sure about getting a mortgage. As the building process progressed, it would have been nice to change a few things. Design should go through options better. Products used are definitely lower quality and pride of workmanship lacking.

Buyer beware - production building means you give up your rights for a quality built house!! Sub contractors used are at the bottom of the barrel because Pulte pays them so poorly so they can make more profits. Do your research before buying from Pulte.

Follow up is slow. During our walk through almost 1/2 the windows came off the track. Waited four weeks to have a dedicated GFI for the refrigerator install. Still waiting on pantry door to be replaced and cabinet door to be replaced.

I expected them to be more forthcoming about information of delays in finishing the build. They ignored the fact that people are selling their homes and it is important to have a time frame.

I expected a more quality build. The floor looks like the material was left over from a store. One of the doors didn't latch properly and the bedroom window is leaking quite a bit of air causing the room to be cooler than the rest of the rooms. It is only a one bedroom home so I expect the heat to be very consistent.

Overall have been happy with my new home. However, I did have an issue where I needed to file a warranty claim due to a pipe leak, and it has nearly bred 2 months without resolution. I am still waiting for repairs to finish and have not been given a timeline for when to expect them to be done. Very unhappy with how this issue has been handled.

Biggest disappointment was in the very shoddy workmanship, with painting of doors. There are dried paint runs and finger prints on the doors. It was brought up but they never addressed it, pretty muy new us off. Garage floor lines are crooked or not square and cracked floor. Molding already coming off the walls in less than six weeks. Address plate was poorly painted as well, was supposed to be fixed and they never did. Overall very disappointed in the quality, especially when you pay as much as we did got this home. I DON’T recommend PULTE homes.

House was rushed and lots of mistakes just ignored because they use different contractors. I still have tape on my walls and cabinets that was suppose to be taken care of before moving in. I keep finding issues daily since moving in a month ago. They are going to need to redo my downstairs flooring it’s that bad! The people you work with are super nice but they are overworked and can’t provide the customer service and project management required!

The project manager was very professional, kept me inform at all times of the progress on the construction site in a weekly basis, he was always available, very committed and patient with my endless questions and most importantly he took the time to reviewed the third-party inspection reports that I hired and took actions from the suggestions. Pulte Mortgage requires a lot of disclosures when you purchase from them. And at the end, they sell your loan. I’m still waiting on a 30 day walkthrough after 6 weeks of living in my home. It’s time consuming to get your issues looked at and discussed with the builder. Pulte does build a beautiful home though.

Understanding that life as we know it took a major turn the day we received our keys to our new home (March 17, 2020). I wish the frustrations with of that timeframe were all that we experienced, unfortunately, they are not. Our walk-thru (key day) was less than stellar. They were still putting up our block wall, pouring the bedroom stoop, planting trees and shrubs, pouring the rocks and putting in the gate. We had major flooding on the day after moving in to our new home. It has been four months and our backyard is till torn up by construction. There are also electrical wires that run along the front of our yard to the neighbor's house. We are not sure why.
