I love the home

The Sales Representative and the Building Supervisor were excellent. Both worked to build our house in the manner we wanted. But, they were constrained by what they were allowed to do. These are not semi-custom houses, but are builder houses that have some options. Even when not doing something that was on the plan would have saved time and money. It still could not be done. If we picked an option to add something there was always a charge, but when we opted to leave out something there was never any credit. We now have had to pay someone to take out and finish several areas the way we wanted. We understand that building houses in the same way aids cost containment and helps with time lines. But, to us the house purchaser it became costly and frustrating. Due to Covid 19 the warranty work that needs to be done has not started yet, but should be started in 1 1/2 weeks. The basic floor plan is very well done and the quailty is resonable for a “builder” house. There are a few things that did not make sense; 1) the light switch in the Mater bathroom is behind the door when you enter the bathroom, 2) the “built in bench” in the shower Is actual dangerous. It is 27 1/2 “ high. You have to lift yourself up to sit on it! It is recommended that a built in shower seat be no lower than 17” and no higher than 19”, 3) the decorative tile band in the shower is lower than it should be. If you are standing in the shower (which is lower than the bathroom floor) it is OK, but when standing in the bathroom it is visually not a pleasing hight. 4) there are not enough electrical outlets in the laundry room. Yes, it meets code, but a builder with Pulte’s reputation should do better. and 6) All the lights and the shower vent, in the Mater bathroom, came on with one switch. They need to be separated out. Working with Pulte was generally very easy. We LOVE our new home. There were just a couple of issues during the build. They were weirdly unwilling to tell us where things like light switches and electrical outlets were going to be located. These are standard floorplans (but don't call them cookie-cutter, that really offends them...) so there has to be a standard electrical diagram, but they refused to let us see it, much less have a copy. Other builders I've worked with have provided such drawings as part of the new home info packet. Secondly, we closed in early spring, and as of this writing we've been here two months, and we still don't have a lawn. We were told we'd have it in 4 - 6 weeks, but that didn't happen. We've seen virtually no activity on lawn installation at any of the dozen or so occupied homes in our subdivision that don't have lawns yet. The two or three spec homes that Pulte built and are trying to sell of course do have lawns. These are annoyances rather than showstoppers, I would build with Pulte again. ... More

Shop around before deciding to buy with Pulte. This will give you a better understanding of Value for your money. Take advantage of periodic meetings with the Field Manager such as the pre-drywall walk through so you have an idea of what goes into your home

The builder did an excellent job to keep the timeline.

I think the home is very nice. I have noticed some little things, but most of the work looks like quality work!

The best news for the community is Mr Sean H He does care and helps and supports at all time.

During the construction of our home, we heard a lot about Pulte quality. Within the first two months of living in our home, we have had to repair the oven and the air conditioning. I am not sure that the quality is quite up to the discussion it is given.

Had some unique issues to start before moving into the new house, but pulte apologized and made good on those problems. We love our home and feel we made the right decision moving here.

Less than a month after purchased our home, we ran into a low voltage electrical problem which caused malfunctioning of our built in oven and A/C. It caused us great inconvenience and worries. Kirk responded to our issues accordingly and helped to fix it.

Love my new home!

I would say the overall quality & service is good, although it's not as perfect as themselves claimed. My new house has a broken hole on the drywall on a not so noticeable corner, and one of my bathroom blinds as a part of the paid package, is askew severely. For the hole, I personally didn't find it during the "house quality celebration" before close, and for the blinds, they installed a portion of them after "house quality celebration", which makes me have to go through customer service and wait for some extra time. Except for a rush close, I would say they're overall good, I got timely responses from customer service(although due to CVOID-19, it may take longer). Pulte's people are quite nice and willing to help answer questions I have. People also help introduce my new house very clearly, and the overall value for the price paid is also not bad. ... More

This is my first house, i really like the quality of Pulte and design but the only thing was few minor details were not discussed not a major issue but like gas connection at the backyard patio and light fixture at gathering room.. rest everything is great.

Just purchased home in April at the start of the Coronavirus pandemic and haven’t moved in yet, but aside from minor glitches like tub faucet came off and some paint spots missed, everything looks good.

Have always like Pulte Homes but never purchased one. Always thought that the quality and workmanship was top notch. Our purchase was a bit less than that. Attention to details, caulking, painting and clean home before move in was lacking. They need to revisit those issues to make sure the customer can move in with little concern for major things such as those. I don't want to move into a home and then have to go behind a 'professional' that has 'rushed' at his/her job. Overall, they are in the process of trying to make it right and make us as the homeowner, happy. That matters!!!!

Nice house

My husband and I are beyond thrilled to be living in our new home. Unfortunately the world changed due to Covid-19 and that put everyone in a grey area full of unknown circumstances. The main focus was everyone staying safe and healthy (as well as it should be). However once in our home there were unforeseen issues that could not be addressed due to the quarantine. The construction team were prompt with their responses on what they could do but it wasn’t much they could. Construction has since resumed and we were excited to get our final construction items “wrapped up” only to receive a letter explaining that we wouldn’t get our lawn, sidewalks or driveway completed no later than the end of July 2020. We understand that there is so much that goes on that we are never aware of but this is by far the most frustrating. We have daughters who can’t play with friends and are still quarantined but can’t play on the lawn outside and are growing tired of staying in. Again I’m sure this was not an easy choice for Pulte but rather a series of tough calls to make. I do hope everyone and their families are safe and healthy. My husband and I also want to mention that the design process was a bit difficult and we feel that a visual representation would help out significantly. It felt as we were relying on the interior designers knowledge as opposed to actually seeing a depiction of OUR design choices. The designer was great, patient and calm and we enjoyed her expertise but we feel it would’ve saved time for both parties and helped us figure out where to splurge and what to “cut corners on”. i am overall very happy with the attendance and and the way the project was organized and conducted by Pulte. this applies to all involved departments, sales design center, construction and construction supervision. schedule was ahead of time. looking forward to move in.

1. The overall design and "flow" of the home are very nice. The master bathroom and kitchen are two areas that rate five stars! 2. The Construction Superintendent was (and continues to be) very responsive and easy to work with. He definitely rates five stars. 3. The customer service/warranty dept. has been very responsive as well. 4. In hindsight, we should have been provided with a complete list of available standard (and custom) options. For example, the electrical service panel is rated for 150 Amps; it is very common today to build a new home with a 200 Amp panel. Because we needed more power for a home workshop, we had to hire the electrical contractor to add a sub-panel-totally at our expense. The plan for the workshop were discussed quite often with the builder, but not once was the panel rating brought up. That certainly should have been handled better. 5. There are quite a few issues (mostly minor) that need to be addressed that it seems could have been avoided with more attention to detail. ... More

Some sloppy finishing work that needs fixed. Paint in interior is terrible. But overall everything else in the home was finished quickly and nicely.

We are happy with our home. Quality and workmanship as good as any home I have built in past. Value is comparable to the area. Time will tell but so far so good.

The home itself and the sales person are fine, The title company was rude and unresponsive. The follow up on punch list items is hampered by covid so not fair to rate.I did find Pulte very inflexible with regard to final walk through which cost us a lot of money and time.

I didn’t really want to move here. I had lived in Carrollton for over forty years and many of my friends are there, but family concerns took precedent...the house of fine. It’s built like a tank, but the garage is ridiculously small. That’s my only beef...everything else is fine. The neighborhood is cool.
