Buying experience did not live up to any of our expectations.

Back yard issue not being resolved.

Do not agree to sign without repairing, even if small fix. After signing , only way to fix them is with warranty service.

The home buying and the financing experience were good and relatively easy considering that we were buying from out of state . However it failed to deliver in terms of quality of workmanship including hardwood floors , cabinets and general finishing . The biggest issue for us is that even though home was advertised as 2 car garage- it doesnot fit our standard size suvs which is an ongoing concern for us . Also the resolution of the issues with workmanship is not to our satisfaction even though it is advertised as having one year home warranty.

Leaking twice in my new condo’s basement ! Poor quality! The only good thing is responsible to issue is quick and good!

Was basically told because of my circumstances, I don't get customer care post closing. Even though I had significant problems with the construction (water running into garage because grade issues just for one example). People were friendly, but just wouldn't help.

For the price, would have expected light fixtures vs. bare bulbs as an example. It's inexcusable to purchase a home that's 3/4 of a million dollars that isn't "turnkey." There are nice features, but alot of corners were cut. Most troubling though is a leak that we had that is now trying to be explained away. A room that had water leaking from upstairs through a light fixture was never determined to have a root cause. Morover, the room smells musty from water that I'm certain saturated the insulation. The warranty rep tried to blame the odor on the furniture. The smell preexisted the placement of furniture. I personally don't know that I'd buy from Pulte again from my experience thus far. ... Several hiccups along the way. They want good reviews and then don't respond to issues after they get that

I had a wonderful salesperson name Kay. She was very knowledgeable about the entire process and made herself available at anytime to explain, clarify, or intervene if necessary.

Build quality of the home is not very great. Option selection process is not very informative, sales executives not always know the correct details and mis-guide in making selections. Design appointments are a disaster with no proper lighting and time to make selections. We have to make all the selections in one meeting and we are rushed into making decisions. Building process was decent overall but when it comes to fixing any open issues, the construction team does not respond and even when they do, they only fix the issues partially or improperly. Home is decent and the floor plans are good but the overall experiece is not very great and will make you a little unsatisfied at the end of the day. Home is a very big investment and we would like to be a little more satisifed at the end of this amazing experience. ... More

Very bad construction quality for the price paid. Flooring, painting, cabinets are all of very low quality.

Felt very pressured to sign towards the end of the building process, along with a threat from management to seizure our home. Overall, process started very smoothly but turned very contentious when the end of the year approached and our home was rushed to be completed before December 31.

The process of buying a home directly from Pulte and their subsidiaries is siloed process that creates headaches for buyers and finger pointing amongst the Pulte group. The only bright spot in their operation was our construction manager Adam. We started off our process with Steve the salesman. He showed us the model and multiple properties which was pleasant. As we walked thru the home that we eventually purchased there were some issues that Steve acknowledged and assured us would be corrected before our next visit. As time went on it was clear that Steve was not going to address the issues and we would have to work directly with Adam to solve the issues. Steve also failed to disclose the closing date to us and passed the buck to Pulte mortgage. Be prepared to jump through multiple hoops when you work with Pulte mortgage. After our financial information was uploaded into their database, it was not vetted prior to being passed over to under writing so the database did not have the correct information for underwriting to review. We explained numerous times to our point person that this should be corrected and instead of working with us they passed us over to a new person. After multiple uploads of information, it became clear that the Pulte mortgage process had numerous gaps that had to be closed by the customer instead of the mortgage group. Also, the closing documents had to be sent to us numerous times due to typos and incorrect information. We were passed to different point people throughout the process and struggled to get correct information. Often, we felt like they were not disclosing information to us, and we were not allowed to speak with the people making the decisions. A silo within the silo of Pulte group. After navigating our way through the most confusing process of our lives we finally found a bright spot inside the Pulte group when we met Adam our construction manager. He was the first person who told us are actual closing date, Pulte mortgage and Steve would not provide us that information and pointed fingers at each other. Also, he walked us though the process and we finally felt like we could trust someone within Pulte. This was a pleasant surprise because going into that meeting, we did not have any faith in Pulte and expected more of the same type of customer service we had with other members. There was an issue with our date of closing and it had to be rescheduled because appliances were not installed before receiving a Certificate of Occupancy. Therefore, our hotel stay was extended, and the moving company charged us a storage fee and a re-delivery fee. This cost us an extra couple thousand dollars. We were not happy to say the least.

I have owned my Pulte home less than 45 days and was, overall, quite pleased with it. Then we had a moderate rainfall and my basement was flooded. Mike, our Customer Care representative, came out to bring fans and a dehumidifier, which were greatly appreciated. Mike took the cover off our sump pump, and discovered that the well had several large pieces of rock, brick, and wood, which had apparently blocked the pump and caused it to malfunction. As soon as we discovered the water in the basement, we moved everything over to an area that was dry. However, we had a large area rug in my craft room in the basement, and it was completely soaked. The only way we could save the rug and avoid mold and mildew from growing, was to send it out to be cleaned and disinfected, at a cost of about $700.00. When I inquired as to whether Pulte would be taking care of that cost for us, we were told no. I feel that is a lousy way to treat your customer, since the cause of our loss was clearly shoddy work practices. ... More

We built a Pulte home in 2007 and then just completed another recently(March, 2023) and the quality of work, project management, communication and value have dropped significantly. Pulte has put more focus on profits than the customer experience which is why we would not recommend buying a Pulte home in today's environment.

Pulte builds houses very quickly and brings in multiple contractors. Project management is a huge aspect of these constructions. When pointing out issues with various issues repeated requests needed to be made. Appears that the Pulte project team needs added support to address the home owners needs.

I felt end of year closing date drove the quickest and poor quality of work. The drywall tape and mud was horrible and the paint job was the worst. They had to redo painted areas which still was done poorly. Painted without removing electrical faceplates. Im also Still in the process of cleaning most faceplates and paint splatters on my floor. All my inside studs are 24 inch apart. This is a cheap way to build a home this expensive. Paid over a half million dollars for a home that looks like any other low end subdivision.

Moved in a month ago and we still have outstanding issues to be fixed. We've been ghosted, no one responding to our requests

Painting vet poor job and kitchen cabinets need repair, closet door not hung correctly, missing shelf holders submitted tickets and no response. Also not seen street cleaner in a while and debris from high winds need cleaning and walkways need cleaning for resident need to use them

Built quickly, but suggest more emphasis be placed on built well

Overall experience was ok. I think there was a lack of communication. Many things like the lot plan, the home orientation should be reviewed with the buyers and did not until it was to late. At the end you were stuck with what was provided. There were many issues that were found out only because I had an inspection done two months after closing. One of the major issues was the gas leak from the gas lines to the furnace. Lack of care and lack of cleanliness were demonstrated throughout. At the end the overall experience was ok. During the build process everyone was easy to work with and responsive. Then we moved in and things changed. Leaky pipes, broken supply vents, missing vent for the over the stove microwave are all things that should have been right before closing but weren't. Now, the construction crew ignores us. We're told to contact the warranty department, who tells us it will be taken care of but nothing happens. The items needing fixing are small, but the hassle of getting them fixed are very annoying. If you purchase a Pulte home, be very thorough during your pre-closing walk through. Check everything. ... More

Pros: Design, Appointments at various stages to go over the details, construction team responsiveness. Cons: Mortgage options, Quality of materials, promised appliances but not delivered instead refunded old prices in a high inflation period, huge delays in delivery timelines. Overall: If I get a time machine, I would choose another top builder.

Limited options, Painting work is poor, rough plumbing for basement bathroom not laid out correctly.
