I initially started working with one man he was no help helping me answer my questions. Meant with him twice before a purchased my home. Then he was gone. No one ever contacted me again. Buying a new home from Lennar began with our excitement about owning a brand new place. Lennar Construction builds a good product, and they have been responsive in the fixes and finishing touches of our new house. Poor communication during buying with sales finance and title people once we gave our Ernest money no one cared to talk anymore it seemed. The overall homebuying process was one of the most stressful and unpleasant things I've ever been through... That being said, we'd do it all over again. We originally went into contract in 10/2021. Our purchase was contingent on the sale of our (at the time) current residence. Lennar delayed the closing date due to shortage of materials,, however when we asked for an extension because of uncontrolled delay by the mortgage lender, Lennar sent me cancellation notice twice. They tried feverishly to take my home from me.

Lennar charged me an excessive daily fee for delayed closing beyond my control. The sales rep was callous and insensitive,. She tried very hard to take my home from me in order for Lennar a multi billion dollar company to benefit from the drastic increase in housing prices in the 8 months since I signed the contract which was before building began. I felt terrorized and victimized.. It was very traumatic

Mortgage process team was a nightmare, but the on-site Sales Team is the Dream Team.

We had nothing but radio silence and issues when we were actually going through the buying process with Lennar, however once we moved in, we were taken care of with nothing but white glove service. Anytime we had an issue, or had a repair needed, we were taken care of or fixed up within a week. Crazy to think they were the same company. If only everyone at Lennar operated like the on-site sales team. Thanks to George, Daniel and Klarissa!

I’m in the military and my wife was going to be closing by herself. Just like every other time, I made a power of attorney authorizing my wife to conduct all legal matters. It took multiple explanations that my wife would be closing in the house and I would’ve unavailable and Lennar acted like that wasn’t possible. Even wanted a written explanation why I wouldn’t be available. That information is not only unnecessary due to having a POA but confidential due to military operations. Too many issues post build

Two months dealing with breaker issue in bedrooms, still not resolved. Losing power every week once they think it is corrected. Large ant hills around property, now my issue to deal with, HOA too restrictive on storm team colors, making us use very dark brown on White House’s, HOA using my wrong email address on denial letter, now asking for another month to review colors they are making me use. Just too difficult for the price of this house.

Stuck with water bill incurred prior to getting keys

I would not recommend Lennar based purely off the customer service. I received my keys one week after closing, as it was the first time going to the investment house far from where I live. I entered the home and hot water is blasting in all sinks and tubs given it was also the weekend of a freeze. The builders opened all the faucets to protect the house, which is a good thing, however, I am having to pay the water bill for faucets that I did not open. And prior to even visiting the house. I was disappointed in my experience as the communication from all teams involved was inconsistent and created financial burden for me. I went through three different mortgage people with no awareness of the changes happening, my move in date changed multiple times with no communication and my sales team just blamed everyone else. This is a big company and the multiple failure points was very disappointing. Take ownership within each team for each family.

Too Many Issues for a New Home

Although the home buying experience was pleasant and the people professional, the quality of the home is unsatisfactory. The fire alarms had old batteries and went off several times, resulting in the fire dept coming to our house. An outside irrigation line was broken underground and resulted in a completely soggy back yard. Chinch bugs destroyed our front yard and Lennar simply plopped new sod directly in top of the bad grass.The back yard is comprised of more weeds than good grass. I think it's like any other townhome community. As far as the building when you basically are doing copy and paste construction there should be no flaws, sloppy workmanship happens.

Sloppy finish work on floors and trim work caulking. Ramon very helpful in trying to resolve issues. Learned I really received NO buyers incentives of any value when it was all said and done. Love the community and Floorplan, but cannot say I'm over the moon happy with everything.

Communication was a big issue during this process. I diffinitely would not recommend using Lennar Lenders. My sales representative Laura went Mia after the signing of paperwork. No photos were sent during building process as promised. There's been some issues after purchase that been addressed immediately i must say customer service after the purchase has been great. I love my house and my community. Didn't like the process at all.

Home buying nightmare

This is the first time we have bought a home. We decided to go with a new build in the Woodruff area. The sales people and finance people were great. Once we were in the home it was hard to get a hold of the HOA over our neighborhood. I will say to read the CCRs before you put down any earnest money. They are not transparent about that. We have a few pets a lots of children. We wanted to put up a fence. They say explicitly that you can’t do chain link or wood fences. They want you to get a black picket fence. The home buying experience was unfortunately horrible. Each step of the way we were rushed to make important decisions and make large payments without fully understanding the process. Complete and written guidance was not provided to us in advance. The staff tended to appear as if they were looking out solely for themselves/Lennar, rather than the customer, oftentimes cutting corners or excluding critical information.

The construction side was great, they were attentive, prompt, fixed any issues right away, communicated well. The mortgage side was awful. They messed numbers up three times, over a month later told us we weren’t qualified to begin with, all because they never factored in 3/4 of our income from the very start.
