The mortgage process has been stupidly complex and poorly organized. I am still get requests for documents and signatures two weeks afte we’ve closed because of errors and poor communication. I’m satIsfied with the overall build quality and workmanship. That said as we spend more time in the home I’m noticing that the painting contractors don’t seem to have been very detail oriented as were find drips and paint marks on molding and ceiling. We also would have opted to upgrade the paint to a satin finish had we realized that eggshell was going to be used. The contractors who put up the fence also didn’t pay attention to details. First out in on the wrong side of the house then just transferred it to the correct side. Problem is the diet bother to level the fence to the ground so there is uneven gaps and holes under the fence. Fortunately our dog is big enough that she can’t fit through and hasn’t discovered digging yet ... More

Lending section is lacking in many respects

I wish our home came with standard window screens. I was told we had to buy our own.

I know there are delays due to COVID but that cannot be a legitimate excuse for everything. I am happy with the structure itself, but there has been no resolution to some issues that were going to be taken care of immediately. No followthrough.

During the home buying process, you have to be on top of them for everything or else you'll miss important details. If I were to buy again, I would use Lennar. Some of my neighbors were reached out to for upgrades and options, but a friend of mine and myself were never asked and we had to constantly ask for updates.

My wife and I have not closed on our new house yet. There have been multiple delays with our closing

On the building end of things, most things were fine. Construction was great to work and incredibly helpful. Of it weren’t for the helpfulness and caring of the construction team, I don’t know what we would have done. The same goes for the loan department. They were always there to answer questions and provide guidance. However, the sales team was far from the quality I expected. From day one, we were not treated kindly. Concerns and questions, if answered, were short and dismissive. When farther along in the process, an incredible lack of communication made the closing process beyond frustrating and overwhelming. At one point, I was called about flooring and treated rudely because they(sales office) had an oversight and wanted me to rush in picking flooring. I was belittled and was even given wrong information about my contract. So much so, I had to get my copy and direct the sales team to the page so I could verify the flooring purchase. In the last two weeks of the sale, there managed to be so little communication that I was out a refrigerator and a washer and dryer. The communications with the sales team at that point were inexcusable. I was finally able to contact upper management where things were handled with more tact. You would think that a sales team would be more communicative, helpful, and understanding as buying a home(let alone a new build) is not something people do every single day. It would have been nice to be treated with more care and appreciation from the sales team. Outside of that, we are loving our home and the care from the construction team we continue to receive! Quality of workmanship is lacking. Lots of shortcuts taken. Promises made and not delivered or had to remind several times. Closing day was a fiasco.

I did NOT like the experience with the Lending team. I almost lost my dream home Because TIM O was not able to research and find out some items had zero balance. He was poor and the entire lending department is poor.

My issue in being a first time NEW home buyer was disappointing, not so much because of the home but the agent, Virginia. They screwed up on the loan docs and sent them to a different state, which meant we had to get up at the crack of dawn to make sure everything was resigned before noon for escrow to close that day. We came with 7 people and a truck from California. I followed up with Virginia around 2:00 and she told title we were very impatient. Next thing I knew it was after 5:00 pm and still not a word. Virginia finally texted me the following morning at 4:30 AM, telling me the code to enter and where the keys and openers were...4:30 AM! Which means we closed the day before and she never told me! She knew we were up at 5:00 am, she knew I had 7 people with me that had no where to sleep, and still waited till then to notify me!! She said she misplaced her phone, but she could of gotten my number from multiple people! Never congratulations, or a proper walk thru....NOTHING! As far as the home, it didn't come with handles on any cupboards. That was over $500.00 to add. The carpet we upgraded, and it is still so cheap and thin with tack strips that cut our feet until we hammered them all down. Everything was stark white and we couldn't even pick our colors with an up charge, so that had to be done before we could move in. Our experience was very disappointing.

Seller should provide a paint pallet for touch up Paint for exterior and interior of home. We were given the name of paint for interior and it does not match.

Just make sure you ask a lot of questions, before you buy, Inspect the House really good....before you move in.

I had a good homebuying experience which may have been better if not for the pandemic restrictions. Many of the documents were made available in digital format which made the lending and closing processes easier. "Everything Included" should have been optional since many appliances can be purchased at lower prices. The quality of the materials is good but getting someone to make modifications such as removing carpet were difficult. Overall I am glad I purchased a home from Lennar.

Has a great Construction Manager

The house material was very cheap.

My initial experience was positive. Over time I began to see many issues, there was a lack of communication between Lennar personnel and the home finance company, as well as a lack of communication between lennar employees which caused unnecessary headaches. When we finally did get into the home, the final cleaning hadn't been done, the paint job was amateur: overspray over the side of the house and external paint over sprayed into the home as well. After the sod was put in, the yard was very uneven, there were several voids where no sod was put in and I'm still trying to patch my lawn up, and they only cover 20ft of the backyard which everyone at lennar failed to inform me of and was not in the contract. Some of the positive notes I'd like to mention is that the Lennar maintenance team is very quick to respond to issues inside and outside of the home, the construction manager was helpful in getting us the info necessary to register appliances in the home as well. ... The builders mortgages Company is very difficult to deal with. I would not recommend using Lennar mortgage company.

There was a lot of issue wrong inside the home that needed to be fixed/repaired. The home seem to have been built rushed and the customer service is very low to resolve concerns brought to attention.

This is my 4th month we found around 29 issues as of now

There was a lot of debris left in all the vents. House was not totally clean upon moving in. Debris behind all appliances.

Great location of home and neighborhood amenities. Sales team were extremely fast in responding. Customer Relations Manager was phenomenal. We felt more like a transaction in the beginning of the building process but thankfully more like a customer as we got closer to finishing the build, thanks to our sales guy and CRM guy. Happy with home. Warranty items have been addressed quickly and pain free. We had some bumps along the way in the building process, mostly delays on things, some cutting corners by trades, messy job sites, little flexibility in changes, etc..so critical for us to be as involved in the process as much as we could. Lennar staff are just stretched so much by workloads. You can tell they want to do a good job but capacity issues are real. Thankful to be moved in and have our dream home. ... More

Sales team was good. Warranty personnel is good. Not overly happy with the craftsmanship with this builder. Not sure if it’s the contractors they use or accept but they fall short in this area. The repair contractors are even worse then the install contractors. Pretty frustrating experience so far in that area.
