I’m more happy than unhappy overall, but there are significant items that really soured the home buying experience, including inexplicable delays in closing (not supply chain or COVID related, just disorganized), skipped final inspection due to the time crunch, bubbled paint/missing paint/splattered paint in numerous spots (all minor, but noticeable), failed low voltage electrical component problems, and insect problems immediately upon move in. All of these can be fairly easily corrected, and for the warranty-covered items they are being fixed without any push back, so that is good. Also, the sales and customer service folks are knowledgeable, honest, polite, and all-around pleasant to work with. But the bottom line is that even though I can look passed these because I can see the house for what it will be once these things are addressed, it is frankly embarrassing to bring over friends and family (for at least the first 2 months it takes to fix these) to a new house with all of these issues. ... Corners were cut in many things while delivering the townhome. While buying there were no options provided to pick and choose options available. Call me if you want to know further about the experience and journey. Thank you.

They put the electrical meters right by my front door also my neighbors electrical meter is by my garage door looks awful didn’t show this in the pictures

Some of the 30-day corrections took extra effort to fix. Some of the overhead fixtures do not lend themselves to installing a fan. The wiring is buried too deep behind junction box to access. The smart home features all require separate apps. They are NOT interoperable.

Delay of house closing twice due to builder, but overall an okay experience. Customer service/support for once you are moved in has been very responsive and quick.

Not the best finishes for the price. A lot of small details were not finished prior to closing and still everything is yet to be finished. For being advertised as luxury and move in ready we expected a lot more. The house is well built for the most part but all the various contractors they bring in aren’t always that great.

There was a lot of turnover of staff in the beginning which overall delayed our spot on the list to purchase. The floor model options were listed as options on all the paperwork, when it came down to being able to get a floor plan option they were no longer an option, specifically floor plan 2 converting the dining room to a suite. The cosmetic options were very limited (counters, backsplash, floor & window covers). The cabinetry is very cheaply made, definitely a low value. The home was built to be rushed, Lennar clearly focuses on quantity not quality. We had AC unit issues day 1 of move in. We have had electrical issues since day 1, the electrician even stated his crew did a poor job with grounding the lighting. Some items we pointed out during the walk through are still issues today. We have not heard any updates on when the garage doors will arrive. George is very friendly for the walk through being overly stating he could stop by later to quickly adjust/fix things if needed. Nobody ever mentioned that you have to submit a fix it ticket request via Lennar portal and wait several days/weeks for issues to get taken care of. We are still waiting on the electrician now that half our lights aren’t working in the house. Overall I would never buy or recommend a Lennar built property. ... More

Buying the home was fine - responded quickly to an opportunity for earlier acquisition. Dealing with the bank was a horror. This is my 11th house so not my first rodeo

The homes are nice. I feel like they are just slapped together though. The sales people were nice and helpful. The construction manager is amazing. The loan department is awful.

good experience at point of sale

Working with Heather in sales was a great experience. She is helpful and prompt in her responses. We love the layout of our home and what it has to offer and feel that the overall construction is done well. However, the finish drywall and carpentry work leaves much to be desired. The work is the equivalent of a weekend DI wire not a professional builder. The accepted level of finish work shows the construction team’s lack of attention to detail.

I liked the representative. She went above and beyond to help us and make us happy but when it came to the construction it was finish quick and we will fix it once we close on the house. I have been having major problems with the subfloor (it creaks). This is NOT my first home that I have built and for someone to tell me all homes creak, yes they do, OLD HOMES not brand new construction homes. Then, there is the issue with the sheetrock. It is beginning to bulge out, again all these issues are things that shouldn't be happening within 2 months of living there. On the contrary to the construction, their customer service is excellent. The title company and loan portion of Lennar were better.

The underwriting process is a bit extra.

LOVE my house and location but once I closed - crickets! I’ve had to request mailbox keys and how to pay HOA dues. No one ever welcomed me to the community let alone see if I had any questions after moving in. “Fully Connected” and “easy DIY” are a joke. Most new homeowners I’ve asked are NOT connected to their devices because they can’t figure out how to set them up. Lennar takes your money but then, you’re on your own!

In beginning everything was good and the seller Carson was amazing, after that it was so complicate. I had other company to do all relative to the mortgage and I decide do it with Lennar and that was like nightmare. then when I was in the end of process I went to do the walk in, and I was let them know what need to be fixed, the lady how was with me answer " you have to understand this is a production house" I don't know if the mean it is the cheaper house, don't ask for to much, anyway for a production house, they should offer good quality, and better costumer service.

Lennar construction team did good job in delivering home on time but there were some issues with windows, stairs, drywall and more. Good thing is construction manager Jim is so good and responsive, he made sure most of my issues were resolved. We’re not happy with sales team. Our sales manager Brighid didn’t provide proper updates about house construction or open issues within the house. Also she wasn’t there during closing formalities neither contacted us before or after closing.

House is well-built structurally, but the finish (paint, drywall, etc.) is definitely sub-par. Sales personnel were great, as was the on-site construction manager, but it is evident that many of the actual workers were not very skilled and constantly pressed for production vs. quality.

The best part of our experience was the customer care rep, Mystic. She has been very helpful and understanding with our concerns and issue.

Overall experience has been okay thus far - not great. MANY frustrations along the way and some very basic issues that should never have been problems in the first place.. Most issues are eventually addressed but responsiveness has often been poor. Most definitely room for improvement all the way around.

Delayed due to Covid and supply chain issues.

Once we gave the final deposit, We could not reach our Lennar person, Alisa. Even on our closing, she was not at the condo to give us the keys as was stated to us. When I reached out, she said they had a new closing team and she was not informed. She never even stopped by the condo to apologize and wish us luck. The gentleman who did receive us was Arthur. Nothing but a salesman!! By that I mean he could have cared less about us. The sale was done and he could have cared less about what we said or how we felt. My wife and I both worked in retail and NEVER would have mistreated a customer as we have been. We are not people who want to complain, but what is right is right and wrong is wrong. ... More

Lennar Title is the absolute worst. No response before or after purchase. Forgot to notify my realtor about walk thru date changes. Walk thru is 1 hr - orientation only - no time to stop to look for problems or issues. Customer Care response is hit or miss. House is gorgeous, makes it easier to look past the scratched and dented appliances, the gouges in the granite, the plain glass windows in the bathrooms, the paint spatters all over the overpriced LVP flooring.

I was disappointed in mortgage! Many issues still remain unresolved like no payment of home insurance resulting in cancellation of policy!

We signed for new construction in mid April 2021...we're given a tentative closing estimate of 10/31/21 to 11/14/21. Then, after obtaining permit approvals in late May...the delays started...ground was not broken on our house until September. So a 4 month delay. Covid was said to be the reason for all delays. Understandable at 1st. Then we saw homes signed for "after ours" closing in Sept...Nov and Dec. Covid did not prevent some homes from moving forward to close. It seemed to my wife and I that the original CMs had forgotten about us and it was very, very frustrating. In October, we connected with a "new CM", Mike. The meeting was initiated by our wonderful salesperson, Susan. Mike had arrived in Trinity Lakes to help push builds forward and he did help to expedite the build on our house. We were very appreciative of his efforts. Our salesperson had been communicating with the previous CMs every week and provided status updates, which we very much appreciated also. But, in my opinion the initial CMs did not follow a "first to sign" protocol regarding priority in home builds. All that said, a second CM, Kyle, was later assigned to work with Mike and together they completed our home in late February. They provided us with a top quality construction build!! So what is the old saying "Anything worth having is worth waiting for"? Irregardless of all our woes...we love the home and community, beautiful, peaceful countryside and gorgeous sunsets over the lake! Even with the delays...10 1/2 months after first signing...I would still highly recommend Lennar for the top quality product! ... More
