Lennar - Customer service from Lennar has to improve a lot compared to

Customer service from Lennar has to improve a lot compared to other builders. This Lennar home is my 3rd home in Tampa and had better customer experience from other builders. For eg: During mortgage approval, Lennar was not flexible to give me options to decide. the representative was very insisting on one option and was always late to respond to queries. another example is Lennar closed the home without appliances in place and took nearly a month to instal. I could not move to new home but was responsible for the mortgage. Also, without approval and after closing my home, the construction ...

Positive experience with sales department though annoyed with constant price increases during discussion period. Experience with mortgage division very frustrating. Most trade work par for production home. Brushed paint and caulk work done on site is marginal at best. Warranty performance good so far.

Experience Moving to my Lennar Townhouse

Buying my house was easy … so many inconveniences moving in. I wasn’t told about all the construction that was and is still going on. Workers & other vehicles parking on the street inhibits coming and going. Window part had to be replaced and the front door lock does not open using “Level” auto lock. Painting was being done even as I was moving in. I will say, however, Steve and Gavin have been most helpful.

Good quality and design but delays and poor customization approach

The home was functional. There were quality control issues as with any new home, perhaps more-so in my case with plumbing. My issues were on on what you get for the price you pay for these homes is not the best quality, laminated cabinets that chip easily. Lennar forced a bid approach when the pandemic happened. While not unusual, this process was very clunky, and we saw huge delays in closing. Overall I was pleased with the people-aspect but not much else in the buying experience.

Lennar - We were promised the house would be cleaned before moving in.

We were promised the house would be cleaned before moving in. On the date of moving in, the house was dirty with dirt and debris all over the inside and outside of the house. When mentioned to the team, they just brushed it off. This was extremely unprofessional. I would like to recognize Rachel Klippenstein, she has always been helpful throughout the purchasing process.

Love the house. Issues of where light switches are. Selection process to restricted. Orientation to the community was lacking. Sod was in fair condition; bushes seem to be dying. Would have preferred to have options on flooring. Never informed there would be a retention pond so close to my house.

Lennar - My biggest disappointment is the workmanship.

My biggest disappointment is the workmanship. Sloppy messy and destructive. I expected a much cleaner final walkthrough. Fiberglass showers all had what I assumed(mistake) was clay and would wash away. Clearly workers stepped in them with cleats that gouged and left orange spots that don’t come out. Had it been cleaned better I would have known that. Don’t feel rushed. Walk through and spend time. Lennar, you are only as good as the workers you hire. Construction managers need to check sites more often and expect more.

Lennar - The sales rep was responsive and patient with all my questions

The sales rep was responsive and patient with all my questions as a first time home owner. Other than that I found the closing and move in process a disappointment. During new home walkthrough my house was a complete mess and not at all ready for closing. There was no paint or carpet, people were working where I was supposed to be inspecting, there were major electrical issues, the wash machine and dishwasher did not work, a worker even had food in the refrigerator and freezer. I was amazed at how much cracked and broken molding was in the house, and attempted to be covered up. Many of my ...

Lennar - There were things that we were satisfied with.

There were things that we were satisfied with. In our final walkthrough some of the discrepancies were taken care, some were not. I understand the warranty section and having to wait until we got on the list to get those things fixed. But, the other stuff like touch ups that were marked with tape didn’t get taken care of. It’s not really a big deal because some of those things “we” as homeowners can fix on our own. But the things we pointed out that was wrong didn’t get fixed when we started moving our household goods in the house. The air conditioning units has been our biggest struggle. We ...

Construction crews are thugs. They broke windows, chipped doors, sheetrock and taping issues all over house. Construction quality is sub-par. Lennar corp people are great. They respond, repair and answer emails. Lennar warranty website is long, tedious and boring but at least the issues are addressed.

Bad experience with the underwriter during the loan process, Once we took the keys we found the floor with paint spots throughout the first floor, the basement had so much dirt on the floor it filled my container from my vacuum, the floor vinyl is pulling up in some corners & bubbling up in others, the refrigerator door was dented and scuffed, the upstairs has an area that makes a squeaking noise as you walk down the hallway, the garage man door has a lot of small dents along with the garage door, the basement sliding door was dirty along with the door track area that was filled with dirt, ...

Your process for warranty work should be an in-person meeting not and online video call that the homeowner should have to do. When warranty work is being completed a representative from Lennar should be there or at least communicating with the homeowner. I have sat around for many hours waiting for work to be done and a few times no show or later than told with no call.

While we really like the home we have, the property has drainage issues and the builder didn't take significant steps to alleviate the problems. They throw some rock on the ground and claim there is a French drain when that's not the case.

On two separate occasions we were told to expect full wood flooring and NOT carpeting which was one of the main reasons for our purchase !!! Secondly we also expected to have a garage door opener and gutters! Carpeting being the main issue as this what we were sold on and promised! We have since purchased a garage door on our own and are seeking vendor for the wood flooring as well as installer to “complete “ our home !!!

The experience was not good and that’s being kind. The mortgage person had no idea what was going on. The setup of the first 3 homes upon moving in left use not knowing who any of the utilities where going to be we had to figure it out ourselves. 2 month later we where able to get internet but are still waiting for mailbox’s. And the craftsmanship shows that everything was just slapped together as fast as possible and getting someone to fix the issues was a waste of time I have done most of what I asked to be done myself. And the house was filthy for buying a brand new home.

Hello. I would equate my buying experience with Lennar to be average. Closing was delayed multiple times due to obvious supply chain issues. Communication was above average but the attention to detail in the construction of my home was lacking. Cleanliness was a problem and Multiple punch list issues were recorded AFTER my closing with no clear direction on how they would be addressed. I am not local so email or phone calls are critical in understanding issues going on with our home purchase. Setting up utilities took some figuring out. Would be nice to have a welcome aboard packet for new ...

Be prepared to pay more than advertised. Option costs are not included in web pricing and every house gets option adds. Be prepared to pay more the day you sign a contract. Our home went up mysteriously $10K the night before we were scheduled to sign a contract. Dishonest business practice. Fit and finish is something to be desired. If you are OK with no screens on patio doors, no gutters, permanently mounted toilet paper holders too small to hold toilet paper rolls, poor concrete work, lowest grade carpet and padding you can find, no outside lighting over the garage door, a garage too ...

There is an obvious conflict between the sales/finance team and the construction team. Sales/finance wanted to move ou closing date two weeks earlier to achieve some goal. The construction team was not ready. Many poor quality issues were left incomplete at closing. It took many week to correct most of them and one is still outstanding six weeks after closing.
