"I was extremely disappointed with the process of purchasing a Lennar Home through the agent, Gina. When I visited the model home out of curiosity and to gather information, I was not properly informed about the purchasing process. According to Lennar policy, this meant that I could not have an agent who would receive commission on the sale and I would have to pay for it out of pocket. I believe this is unethical and contributes to the loss of trust in large institutions. During the final walk-through, I felt rushed by the customer representative, Lisa, and the manager in charge of the ...

Bittersweet home buying experience for us.

We were very pleased and impressed with our New Home Consultant. The buying process was handled efficiently and professionally through her. Unfortunately, the experience of dealing with construction issues has not been the same. Both the new home orientation and final walk-thru were very disappointing due to the number and nature of items needing attention, the cleanliness of the house, as well as the responses from the construction rep regarding these issues. A list was made by the construction rep at the final walk-thru and we were promised the items would be taken care of within days ...

Moved in...but lots of hassles and disappointments

Bad timing! Signed a purchase agreement in June for a new home to be ready in November. Hurricane hit in September; some damage to the house but salvageable. Flew down for inspection in mid-December for a late December close; found too many problems for a punch list (no A/C, no refrigerator, lots of finish issues). Salesman had moved on to another development. Closed late December (so Lennar could book the sale in 2022). Moved in on January 1. Found much of builders support team not available until days after holiday. Gradually getting things fixed (now 6 weeks after move-in). ...

The process was difficult due to being out of state. Accommodations were made to allow for signing because of our situation in MICHIGAN because of my shoulder surgery and having to live in separate housing to accommodate my recovery and have a place for our dogs. Overall we got it done and everyone was accommodating. As for the house, we were very disappointed with the finishes in the home. Due to my surgery, I was not able to attend the walk thru, my son attended instead. Painting quality was poor. Door casing that were cut too short and not caulked, chips on door cases, paint drops, ...

Overall, we are not very impressed with our Lennar home. We did get it for a good price, be we expected more for our money. We especially expected what was here to be in much better shape and quality. Things look very rushed and sloppy all around our house. Paint splatters everywhere, drywall looks very bad in places, yard is a mess with trash and debris left behind everywhere. It is quite disappointing with the amount of things we have had to do ourselves just to make the house presentable, and there is still a lot we have the clean and make better. Overall we are disappointed with the ...

I bought my house at the end of January 2022, and I was told it would be ready in 6 months, which I thought was extremely ambitious. I visited the property 5 months later and only the structure was ready. I started to get a little anxious. I visited the property 3 months later (end of October) and it had very good progress. On November 11 I was informed and confirmed that the closing would be on November 28. I travelled for the closing (I live in Canada) and when I completed the inspection visit ahead of the closing, it was clear that the house was not ready. I was asked by Lennar to stay ...

Our New Home Consultant disappeared. After they got our EMD, the only time we heard from Karl was when we reached out to him. Nothing, not even a congrats on your new home when we closed. Our construction manager was nice but she was completely overworked and you could see it. She was juggling a lot of homes and it did not seem like she received a lot of help. Our home walk through/new home orientation left a lot to be desired. It should literally be about everything in the house.... not just the cool goose neck faucet in the kitchen or the vents. The majority of our issues identified ...

We really love the house, but our experience ended up being very rushed as our house was scheduled to close the day of Lennar’s fiscal year end. We have cracking on our spare bathroom sink that we did not notice on the buyer walk, we were told there is nothing that can be done and it isn’t covered because we could have caused the damage ourselves. It’s in our third bathroom that we just started decorating and haven’t even started to use. There are quite a few gaps in the cabinetry that we were told is “as designed” which is pretty odd. I worked at a store that sold cabinets for about 7-8 ...

As a first time home buyer, you expect certain things but I know not everything can go as planned. Communication at the start of my process was great between the loan officer and home consultant. As the weeks go by, I start to send out documents and I’m getting emails to send the same documents I sent weeks ago… or even just a couple days ago… are they not checking what I am sending. I was also given a very high interest rate even though initially I was told it was going to be a lot lower… the fix?? If you can get a lower rate elsewhere we will match it! Why not just offer the lower rate… ...

Beautiful location. However, we were disappointed with the quality of the product. Windows don't close properly, closet doors are not hung properly, Thermostat not functioning properly and dryer duct work not properly secured causing a leak. Lennar has responded and we are awaiting repairs.

Employees did the best they could under completion pressure at year end. Magnified by hurricane and materials shortages. Recommend a customer service department independent of other departments for quality control of closing issues. I do not see any evidence of a local customer service department. Again, it's not the employees, its the large number of closings without a customer service department to handle preparation for a successful walkthrough at closing. Cost is minimal for change as other departments could focus on their priorities. Amazing how much goes into making such an great ...

I think Lennar should have a program where then can solely help with First time home buyers who know nothing about the ins and out of purchasing. This Corporation is so big one they could afford to have a program where they assist with first time home buyers step by step starting with any and all that is hidden in the fine print. From a choice of pant color to know whether your Front door opens in or out.

Hi - I recently purchased an Augusta townhouse in Preserve at Pine Lakes. There have been disappointments, I must admit. Currently experiencing lots of ants and some roaches. Does not appear Lennar treats the earth for insects prior to building, and apparently ground joints not sealed well. Finish and trim poorly done: floor molding in places thrown on hurriedly, cut incorrectly and installed without correction. Out of the way spots with rough edges (eg, door casings bottoms) and no caulk at all (eg, upstairs bathroom, casing at bottom of banister). Workers apparently being pushed for ...

Home buying experience was mostly okay, but Lennar Mortgage agents were extremely incompetent, and our closing was delayed due to multiple clerical issues with Lennar Mortgage who kept sending paperwork with the wrong amounts owed to us. Also, sales agents are arrogant and rude until you you're in contract, so dealing with anyone at Lennar felt like a chore every-time.

I have experienced some major issues after moving-in including 1) heater not working due to wrong wire used 2)water flooding the whole first floor and constructional debris found in the pumping 3)water leaks from shower in the main bathroom as glass not sealed at all. The mortgage process with Lennar mortgage was very easy and efficient. The actual process after moving in became a nightmare for us dealing with customer service and quality of workmanship. If you sign off on issues that you notice on your walk thru before your closing, you will most likely encounter all sorts of problems trying to get things repaired. Most of our issues have since been resolved after numerous complaints being sent to Lennar.
