Deal with buyers more on. Personal level rather thru the internet. Did not like that

I absolutely love my tiny home! Of course there will always be issues because it’s a new build. Just a few things… 1. The fire alarms are way too high to reach even with a ladder. My father got up on a ladder and he could barely touch the one in the living room. 2. I love the lighting in the house however can’t reach them to replace the bulbs and apparently I have to rent a certain tool to take off the cover so I can replace the light bulb. 3. The grass, I have a long backyard. I only got 20 ft from the back of the house that is covered with grass. The rest of my backyard is bare with dirt and weeds. That’s unattractive. 4. The standing shower could have used a few more feet, on all sides. 5. What’s with the virtual repair. I totally get help training the home owner to be self sufficient but if the house is under a one year warranty I expected a little bit more than virtual repair. The repairs are quick, but because of the virtual part it lengthens the repair process within days. Other than that! I love my tiny home. ... More

Overall I wouldn't recommend a Lennar community to others. You are inundated with so many different people during the buying and closing process, who knows who anyone is and why are there so many different titled people to handle this process. They don't all communicate together and it shouldn't be my job solely to keep everyone up to date, especially if I'm not receiving answers for issues. I was under the impression that I wouldn't be dealing with the same type of unexpected issues that arise when buying an already established home. We've had the electricians and plumbers out numerous times since closing and moving in. Our home should not have been plumbed backward and that is something that should have been caught in an inspection. Items on a to do list for a pre closing walkthrough should be addressed and not have to be made an exception when not completed by closing. NOT MUCH CONTACT WITH BUILDER

This may summarize the overall experience; 15 minutes on my way to closing, I got a call stating "not to arrive to the office because they were not ready for us yet"... I was told by the lady who showed us the house that the solar system was included with the house (which was not) and eventually cost us is a bit over $5,000 from incentives that we couldn't get because the lack of information between all involved during the sale who failed to guide us, even though that we explicitly stated several times our willingness to purchase the solar system. We could have easily stepped down from the sale or at least held it but because we were from out state and we really wanted the house, we decided to bite the bullet. Among many construction deficiencies, we are still not happy with the pavers repairs, even though that most were replaced, they all look like if they were bought second hand and still (as of today May 2. 2023) "all" look stained, not even one look new... some have foot paint and I was told, for me to remove it with "warm water and scrub", which I tried with no avail. I got like more than 50 calls asking for silly bank transactions... most of the repairs have been completed but it's a new house and it shouldn't have as many faults as it had/has.... Too many people involved that did not know or communicate with each other. It should be one centralized point of contact thus to avoid any conflicting information. I felt like there was a lack of communication between title company and construction manager, and sales person, I was off and left wondering who was going to contact me regarding closing and final walk-through. Title company had me closing before final walk-through.

Most materials and products are nice, not typical builder grade. Much of the craftsmanship is also well done. In our house the prep on the millwork was very poor, not the same as in the model homes. Many repair attempts were poorly executed. Unfortunately it is a poor representation of the rest of the house however it is highly visible and runs through the entire home. It’s a shame since our experience from start to finish was mostly very good. Rockstars were Katie in sales and James in lending. Too bad things finished up with Jennifer in cust service, she gets 2 thumbs down. We didn’t see that coming. ... More

Lennar fixed whatever issues I had, but there was a LOT and much of the painting/drywall/finishing issues should have been properly completed in the first place!

Please know when you buy a smart home from them you will be setting up 95% of it without anyone's help from Lennar. They just want you to put down the deposit for your home and once that happens they completely stop trying or caring. I was told by an employee actually that Lennar is cheap. However, I love my house. They did a really good job with it overall, but please don't be fooled by the glamour of your house because nothing is what it seems with them with their rude employees.

Very bad communication along the sales cycle and home construction.

I would not transfer any funds into escrow account until all the punch list is done. Once you transfer funds they will close on the property, by transferring funds you give them the right to close read your contract closely. there only goal is to meet the closing dates. Then anything that needs to be done goes into warranty work. They have been moving along on the list of things that need to be done most of that is from poor sub contractor work.

We purchased for our elderly parents so they could be close to a pool and work out area. From what i understand, the pool area will never be complete. How could you sell these condos to people expecting a life style they cannot live. Especially the elderly. The ring had to be replaced and now we find the back door does not lock so they leave it open. i am sure this will not get published.

Most of the staff with Lennar is great, however communication skills on the other hand, not so good. I understand things happen, but the lack of communication was absurd. Our home was never cleaned before moving in either. Moving into a dirty home, with an infant, trying to unpack was chaotic. The builder did send the cleaners over about a week later, however when they cleaned they left tiny pieces of metal (from their scrubbers) all over my floor. Blue tape was still left in some places as well. All in all my family and I were just expecting a different outcome. The staff was friendly and helpful, the builder was informative and tried to be corrective as well. Id suggest slowing down, making sure the home is 100%, instead of rushing through just to get it done. Us homeowners can tell the difference! ... More

My new home consultant and construction manager (Patricia and Doug) were extremely helpful during the whole process. They both were exceptional in their service and for that I am very grateful and pleased. However, Lennar's workmanship is lacking and their lack of flexibility in customizing certain items in the home is frustrating and disappointing. Also, some of the materials used in the home are of poor quality. On a brighter note, their Customer Care Service Team is extremely responsive and helpful!

Well let’s start with the deception of the sales team or shall I say Abby. She speaks very condescending, she gives false information and misrepresents what you’re purchasing. Then tells you when she gets called out on it “just cancel the transaction then.” Her management doesn’t hold her accountable and they don’t even respond to complaints or concerns so there’s no wonder why she gets away with having poor ethics. I have all this in email correspondence to back this up as well. She is very unprofessional and it doesn’t matter because it seems like a company problem. When we did our walk through the first time we found tons of problems. We were told it was a 3 hour long appointment but we felt rushed and were there for 2 and he apparently was filling in for someone else. Half way through my walk through I asked if we were being picky he said no but about 30 minutes later when we noticed the door frame wasn’t painted and window was crooked he then said “ we’ll you are being a bit picky.” For a crooked window? Our sales rep and the lender have been the two pleasant experiences we’ve had. Both very responsive and very professional. The issues we ran into are being addressed thankfully. But would I purchase Lennar again. Ask me in a year because the buying process with lies and the headaches we ran into this far I would advise others not to. ... More

Overall, I was disappointed with my homebuying experience.

Not a bad experience but definitely could be improved. Sales people don't handle the stuff professionally, too many emails are something which worries but handling this scale is also not an easy thing as well. I hope they either slow down or add more staff so that they can handle customers professtionally. They need support staff before sales who can listen to the customers complains.

As a woman buying a house, I felt the salesmen were more comfortable communicating to the man. Have we not evolved. Women have jobs. They make $$$$. Lennar could work on this area. Be bold. Lead the way to treating all people as humans with $$$$$.

This is our second home, which was built by Lennar. We continue to have problems that have been outsourced for replacement or repair. The reports and updates we are getting reflect on Lennar as uncaring if we do not sign off on service tickets. Twice now a ticket has been closed without a completed repair. Where is the care in that?

Be careful what you sign up for.No flexibility on Lennars part.The home was well built.They tell you they will fix any thing but it’s at their time line.Love the area.No flexibility on when they will finish the house.If its beneficial to them,that’s when you have to close.The toughest part of the whole process was working with the lennar mortgage company. A nightmare. Otherwise,we’re happy we bought this home.

Fast process but quality of home is not worth the price. Sales person was informative but lenner lender was difficult to reach at times so that made it frustrating.

Cameron was very helpful getting checklist things done in a timely manner.

The people in the field are great. Sales man. General Cobtractors. Have to deal with corporate you will find they quickly don’t care. Good luck reaching one of them.

We’ll breakdown this review into 4 areas Lennar Sales, Lennar Title Services, Building Team, and Warranty. This review is for the Dolce Homesite Lennar Sales (Eileen and Carla) - Our first Dolce sales office experience was with Anastasia and she was great. She took the time to go over the features, explain things, and even took us around the Dolce neighborhood to show us properties and amenities. Her customer service, positive attitude, really sold us on the Dolce community. Sadly, Anastasia wasn’t working at the Dolce location when we came back to start the sales process a couple months later. We ended up having to “deal with” Eileen and her “empty-suit” of a supervisor named Carla. This is where we experienced the most grief. Eileen showed disdain for us from the beginning the moment she learned we had a real estate agent representing us and that we had our own financing. We later learned that those two things typically mean Lennar makes less profit because you aren’t financing through them and less commission potential for Eileen because portion has to go to our agent. After viewing the model we were interested in, we went back through the sales office to exit. We were rudely excused to leave the office to “go grab lunch to work it out” because apparently Eileen didn’t want to listen to my wife and me talk about the house and options were were considering and our financing plans. This visit was in the middle of the week and sales office was empty. Apparently we were a bother to her. This was the tone we experienced from Eileen during the whole sales process. We even tried to escalate to her supervisor Carla who also refused to talk to us other than to say keep her cc:d on emails. When we were done, we had over 200 emails. A large number of those emails being because Eileen’s refusal to answer simple/direct questions, refusing to respond, and laying blame on other Lennar departments. Dealing with her was excruciating and stressful. She exhibited the same unprofessional behavior towards us, our agent, our lender, and even Lennar Title personnel. It’s hard to believe that Lennar has this person as the “face of their company” in the sales office. It was also disappointing that her supervisor Carla refused to participate/engage in any discourse throughout the entire process. We left voicemails for Carla and sent her multiple emails seeking help to intervene that went unanswered. If we didn’t love the house we would have walked away from the deal at this point. Lennar Title Services (Vickie)- Yes! finally some adults in the room. We decided to use Lennar title. They were great through the whole process and worked hand in hand with our lender to get our deal done. They kept Eileen to task who kept trying to place blame/responsibility on the title department for items Lennar Sales should have handled. Their professionalism and customer service helped make this a special moment and kept us from walking away from the deal due to all the frustrations with Eileen. Building Team (Jerry) (pre closing)- he’s a personable guy and decent customer service, but delayed responses probably because he’s overwhelmed with the neighborhood buildout. Our Initial walkthrough was done before electricity was as turned on, there were surprisingly a large number of items we marked for correction, and a few we missed that we had to address via warranty claims post sale. Advice… be that person who goes over things with a fine tooth comb as there doesn’t appear to be great quality control during build. Feels like Lennar should have caught and corrected most of the items we called out during our walkthrough. Warranty (Jerry and various trade teams) - less than stellar. You aren’t a priority now that they have your money. Opening warranty claims is easy enough via their web portal, but it basically gets rerouted back to Jerry who has to engage the various trade teams (plumbing, drywall, counters, etc.). Feels like a second job having to send multiple reminder emails just to get an appointment for inspecting your claims and that is after you do a virtual inspection via phone call and picture submission. We are roughly 2 month living at the house and the majority of the items are still open unresolved. Advice..take your time and inspect EVERYTHING in great detail during your walkthrough. ... More
