Great Home for the Price...but After the Sale Good Luck Getting Fixes

Bought a home with Lennar at the end of March. Closing was moved up--I appreciate that. However, lots of little dents and scratches that were promised to be fixed after closing never occurred. I followed up time and time again and never heard back. I gave up and paid about $1500 to fix these items on my own. Note that the homes are built by teams of independent contractors--Lennar does not have their own teams building them. Workmanship can vary. Knowing what I know now, I would not close until all issues fixed.

My experience in purchasing Skyborne unit was a mix of satisfaction and frustration. While the overall quality of the house was satisfactory, there were several areas where improvements could have been made to enhance customer satisfaction. One of the minor yet notable issues was the placement of the garbage disposal button under the sink. The overall buying experience was good, however there was an issue that was shared during my decision process that was short of accurate. The lack of parking has been less than desirable. I was told that I had two parking spaces in front of my townhome. However, when I double-checked after purchasing my home, I was told something different. There is not enough parking, nor is there adequate street lights for safety.

My Lender expereince sucked. Barely was able to get in contact with Rich W. Would have liked to have more interaction with him being that I was a first time homebuyer! Other than that, the construction team was helpful and friendly. I will probably not use Lennar as a Lender in the future.

The new townhome we purchased seemed to be rushed. There were two contractors, the first one left. The quality of the finished work was not that of a professional organization. We have drywall corners, edges, etc that weren’t finished properly. When we walked and blue taped problems, some were fixed others just had the tape removed. After closing it took weeks to get all the final issues fixed. We’ll have to work on the drywall issues ourselves. Also, the HOA was more than we were quoted. Th construction quality has not been very good. The material used is below standard. All the construction issues are being marked as within limit, which is not good. The quality of the product does not match the price paid.

I have been experiencing lots of issues with the doors at my house in addition to a drawer in the kitchen that won't close properly from the first time I opened it. This is my first time purchasing a new home. Maybe this is normal. I did contact customer services regarding these issues and they responded immediately. They put me in contact with my representative and an appointment was made by him to have someone come out to make repairs. I am hopeful that when that time comes around all repairs will be made to my satisfaction.

Homebuying process was easy. I was not happy being int the middle of a cost cutting effort from Lennar. Originally told the house would come with (and was on all marketing materials including website) Wifi Mesh Network, Water Sensor, Ring Alarm, and other great items but it did not show up on the final transaction. I missed it on the documents I signed and it could not be honored. Not super thrilled spending over half a million dollars on a house and it does not include any ceiling lights in any room, the living room, and even the master bedroom! We love the design of our home and the community. Unfortunately, we are disappointed with the many aspects of our new house. We feel the quality of the materials and the appliances are subpar. We were also given misinformation about some of the logistics. For example, we closed in February and were told our driveway would be paved in late March and our street in April. Since our sod wasn’t installed right away, the lower part of our driveway was loaded with mud constantly. Our driveway was completely today, after several phone calls and our street has yet to be paved.

Lennar needs to improve construction quality. I have to submit 10 work order in the first month after move in. 2 walkthroughs didn't help me to resolve the issues. There is no home security system, not even a ring door bell or keyless smart lock. I found a empty beer bottle on top of my kitchen cabinets. Try to see what you can find in your homes!!

We had a mixed experience with our apartment purchase. On one hand, Bryan (our agent) professionalism and communication skills were commendable throughout the buying process. On the other hand, the condition of the apartment was unsatisfactory, with unaddressed issues from the walkthrough, such as an unconnected dryer exhaust duct, an unsecured washing machine drain hose, a subpar paint job, and a missing kitchen cabinet shelf.

Lennar is an average builder in terms of quality of workmanship in my opinion. A large portion of our wood trim is marred, damaged, isn’t smooth, etc…. I expect more on a newly built home at a high price point. They did fix a big sewer issue at the last minute, though reluctantly, but did not want to push out our close date even though we were agreeable to moving out the close date. I’m sure it was the end of the sales quarter and they didn’t want to push that money into another quarter. Overall, the buiider does respond to some repairs needed, and it’s a nice house. Too many different places that I had to ask questions from. Things need to be streamlined! I was never told a lot of the rules and expenditures I would have. I did not receive any paperwork and was never placed on certain lists. It was a very stressful situation for me. No guidance at all. I am told it probably happened because I paid out right and never went to a closing. Was done on my phone. The paperwork did not get to the different departments. Lennar has very unhappy buyers.The problems can be solved easily as most people here have the same problem with the same people. Neither bathroom came with any towel hangers, when sink, bathroom and shower normally have one. We are willing to forego the missing top bathroom cabinets. Pavement to the front door has a couple of holes exposing inner wood. We are still very happy with the new house, but the above needs attention.

I thought they did a great job in the beginning of the process very responsive until the week of closing. Once I closed - moving from another state - with no idea of who to contact for utilities HOA etc. So disorganized and frustrating. Once that was figured out, all is good. Love the place so far! I did go through Lennar Mortgage and they did a great job!
