Post box keys should be given while closing. They were not given to us. And we were asked to only come between 10am-4pm to the community and pick up the keys separately. This is ridiculous. Why cant the post box keys be given at the same time while closing. Very bad experience

There was some miscommunication in the beginning but other than that, the purchase of my new home with Lennar went relatively smooth. Only cons: you are not allowed to make any changes throughout the building process ie, flooring, carpet color or any additional upgrades. Another major disappointment was the doorways going into the bathrooms and pantry were not wide enough for me to get through with my walker. But overall, the house I got with all the included upgrades and the price I paid was outstanding!

The house is NOT well built at all But the staff are very nice. The Mortgage experience was TERRIBLE but it is over now

I used to think Lennar was the best builder ever! Why? Because they used to install ceiling speakers, cat5 jacks in every room, and not only they Not have that, they have no phone jacks, they decided not to run conduit from the garage to smart box, which the modem is in the garage, and if you want home phone, you need to put it in the garage. They got so cheap they decided to not install the flex conduit and they install the latch on the gate not only upside down but they put it on the outside instead of inside like it’s supposed to, and their excuse? “Oh well, that’s just what was in the plans!” That deserves a 1 star, but I didn’t cuz I still love my home. ... Since I don’t have an any good words about the loan officer(s) that were assigned to me. I will say the managers and underwriting team ans well ans the crew who did walk the through and inspection ,especially the onsite rep who was phenomenal. They made this experience so much better than after the shamockery with loan officers and this played a part in the score and success of a close.

I would say average, not bad, but not amazing. You will get a nice house you’ll just have to work harder at some things. Still working on getting hard water stains off tile, the dishwasher was so cheap we upgraded after the first repair, the carpet was put in so bad it comes up when you vacuum, we have been and still are working hard at getting crickets out of attic, never got a straight answer about yards so that was disheartening, and apparently some get red carpet hand over, we did not, and then we had to chase down the gate remotes. Now, with all that I’d still buy the house, we like the area, the warranty department is amazing!!!!! Just be prepared to do mare work than is expected with buying a new build. But the think you’ll still get a nice house and nice people to work with after you close. ... More

Too many people involved which made it very confusing as to whom to contact for various issues. There was a concierge but he seemed extremely young and inexperienced and was not prompt in replying. I think that role if properly staffed would have been perfect to help redirect us when we contacted the wrong person with a particular question or concern. A huge issue was no trash/recycle receptacles at closing. What in the world were we to do with our trash and tons of recycle the first two weeks. Thank goodness our 2 sons were able to accept a lot of our trash and recycle. It took weeks to get receptacles. At the beginning of the loan process we felt overwhelmed with the frequency and expected response times. One email came in on a Saturday afternoon with a 48 hour turn around. The loan and closing process were quite stressful. We are nearly 70 years old and the on-line process was extremely impersonal and we needed help with some of the photos to PDF process and a few other techy things. We hope to never have to purchase another home as the stress was overwhelming at times. But, bottom line is we love our new home from the layout design to the quality (except the back yard which we're afraid to use due to the lumps and bumps as we are afraid of breaking an ankle.) ... Our customer service relationship manager has been outstanding. Everyone is responsive to our needs. As soon as we report an issue, they rectify it immediately. This is our second Lennar Home and would do it again. We love our home and the community.

I really like my home

First things first - love my home. It meets all my needs and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Lennar delivered what they promised, on time. The reason I took off couple of stars is because of response delays during the home buying process. There were 3+weeks that both my real estate agent and I struggled to get answers and an updated closing estimate from Lennar. On the positive side, once they started working with me (last week before closing), the answers and updates happened quickly and efficiently. For everything else, Lennar did what they said they will do, when they promised it. Frankly, a "will happen in last week before closing" response would have worked better than current experience of asking repeatedly and not getting responses. ... More

We have built several homes and have been able to request and get upgrades. We are now having to install a lot of needed items after moving in. This delays getting settled and enjoying our new home.

The best thing I can say about it is that it is a nice looking house. I assume that because the houses are built quickly it takes a lot to keep up on quality control, but I just feel that you get what you pay for. It really feels like a nice starter home but not what I was hoping for in terms of quality. I understand that they have to save money to sell at the price point they are trying to keep but some things really feel cheap. The Home buying process is not like any other builder I have worked with. There is no flexibility or understanding from the company at all. It's their way or no way. This makes it difficult for someone selling one house and buying a Lennar house. It might be great for a first time home buyer, or someone looking for a retirement home. They have been responsive to warranty claims quickly so far. I do appreciate that service! ... More

Very hard a times to get responses to our questions. Being in central time zone we would get information so late in day we couldn’t get things sorted out before people were gone. Not knowing whom to contact at times it seemed like we were directed to a lot of different people that we hadn’t really talked to. Easier to deal with 1-2 individuals for us.

Our experience with Lennar's new construction home purchase was disappointing and frustrating. Despite their promise of $35,000 in closing costs, we were blindsided by last-minute demands from their preferred lender, who conveniently required us to pay off additional credit card debts the day before the closing. This unexpected financial burden and the discovery that Lennar intended to use my wife's realtor commission to offset their promised contribution left us feeling deceived and cheated. Moreover, the title company's lack of communication only compounded our dissatisfaction. Despite our persistent efforts to clarify the situation, our calls went unanswered, leaving us disregarded and unheard of as customers. From a construction standpoint, the house was pretty well built. I’ve been here for roughly 3 months now and I’ve had barely any issues. As far as the sales standpoint, my real estate agent was able to work closely with Paul and get the deal done in a timely manner The only drawback I had was with the Mortgage department within Lennar. They were unethical aspects that occurred during my Purchase because there was a huge rush to get my home closed by February 28th. This was due to the concept that Lennar end of year allocation was due on the same day. With that being said, I felt like my mortgage officer made more of a push to get the house sold Weiss to caring about my needs or helping me through the process. Moving forward, I would not mind purchasing a home from Lennar based off of the house and the foundation in which it was built as some time and care was put into. It’s a construction. Mortgage process was horrible using their lender.

The worst part of our buying experience was the mortgage approval process. I will never submit to that again. The house was already completed, so we just had walk-through and punch list issues. We like the house so far, but follow-up is the Achilles heel of most builders.

We purchased a home that was completed prior to being put up for sale. We had minimal interactions with the builders. We did interact with Kim, who is the owners representative between the builder and you. We had a positive experience with her, Our main issues was with the Lennar Mortgage Department. Although they all were friendly and professional, they are put under a strict time frame to close on these homes that many mistakes were made. We closed within 22 days of signing contracts, our closing costs and estimates changed 4 times including the APR. Our intent is to pay off this mortgage within 6 months so we were minimally affected by these issues. Due your due diligence and don't feel obligated to finance through them, although they offer some good incentives make sure you are not better off in the long run financing elsewhere. I absolutely love the home I purchased from Lennar. My only disappointment was not being able to upgrade anything. I did not get to choose the outside color of the home and I could not upgrade the floors in the entire home or even the glass wall for the shower. The problem I am now facing is that my feet hurt every day from walking on the hard tiled floor instead of the wood flooring that I wanted. Not sure if my feet will recover but I will now have to replace all the flooring in the entire home because I prefer wood floors in the bedrooms and in the open plan living space. I also would have liked to be able to add a privacy fence because of the way all the back yards are open to all neighbors on multiple streets. My only option is to add plants that will grow in such a way that I will have a bit of privacy. ... More

I dealt with the new home consultant directly to purchase the home at Lennar wellness way. However realized that having a realtor would have made much more sense closer to the closing. The final inspection was not done correctly and there were many items left out that needed fixing. For example, one of the cabinet doors was not even painted. There were lot of paint marks on the floor in the living room. when my tenant moved in he found nails in the carpet while vacuuming and thankfully his kids did not step on them. I do like the way Lennar has built the website where all details of the lots available. I would love Lennar to take one step further to make the closing process more friendlier. I would not want to have a seperate real estate agent and pay them to do the chores while Lennar already pays for New Home consultants. It would be worth while to have them help the buyers. Also, please ensure that last mile (cleaning, making sure all items are fixed, inspection etc) are accurate. ... More
