Very poor workmanship on interior doors and trim work. This visual deficiency makes you question the workmanship you can’t see.

Good house, bad service

During our building process, the sales team repeatedly gave us misinformation and took long * 2 answer questions. Since we have moved into our house the warranty department is slow to respond and lets things linger 4 a long time. After our first warranty appointment and claim, they sent two people out to work on some of the issues, but the rest is still left undone.

Lennar responded:
Thank you for sharing your feedback about your new home. We are sorry to hear about the issues you described with the sales and service teams. Please email us at corporatecustomercare@lennar.com with any outstanding items, so we can research and follow-up for you. – Lennar Customer Care

Poor Workmanship

Considering what I paid for the property the workmanship on the house is poorly done! The materials used (i.e cabinets are cookie cutter, flooring is cheap) are of the lowest quality of builders grade material! Thus totally unexceptionable!!

Lennar - Just know that if something is broken or not working properly

Just know that if something is broken or not working properly be prepared to wait a loooong time to have it fixed because of mishandled scheduling issues with subcontractors. Also, the repair work can only be done on week days forcing you to take days off from work only to have the workers not show up which is incredibly frustrating. It's been almost 6 months without a working master bedroom shower

The quality of the home is subpar I have been in my residence for less than 6 months and I have already had to have major repairs to my HVAC unit and I am still looking for compensation from Lennar. The poor craftsmanship is a direct correlation to excessive billing.

Terrible customer service!

Unfortunately Lennar is more focused on selling houses than building quality homes and providing good customer service. My closing date was moved up three weeks but my house had numerous items that needed to be fixed. I was assured they would be fixed after closing. Five months later, some of these items still haven’t been repaired. I submit warranty items that need to be addressed and nothing happens. Lennar eventually closes out the ticket like it’s been completed, but it hasn’t! This has happened numerous times so I eventually call customer service. It takes months to get things ...

Disappointed with Post-Closing Experience and Customer Service

I had high hopes when I purchased my home from Lennar, but unfortunately, the experience during and after closing has been very disappointing. 1. Seller’s Credit Issue at Closing: Lennar attempted to reduce the agreed-upon seller credit at the last minute, just before closing. Despite our persistence, we were finally able to get the full credit restored, but this caused a significant delay during closing at the attorney’s office -- an incredibly stressful and unprofessional situation for what should have been a smooth process. 2. Driveway and Garage Issues: Within just a week of ...

Don’t Recommend Lennar Homes

  • Joseph R.

Between AC not working day of move in after multiple issues prior to closing, ants, overall bad workmanship, shower needing to be replaced, sewage smell, faulty wiring, faulty plumbing, and almost everything being “not covered after closing. Would not recommend. They build these houses so fast and don’t care what happens after closing. Only nice people are the Sale Agents, after that it’s no good. If they do come out for “warrantable” defects, it’s “we’re doing you a favor”. Need some sense of responsibility.

Lennar responded:
Good afternoon Joseph, Thank you for reaching out to us and sharing your concerns. I apologize for the inconvenience you have gone through. I have shared your feedback with upper management for their review and assistance. For future questions or warrantable items, please don't hesitate to reach out to your local customer care team by submitting a warranty request through your Lennar Account. This ensures your request is documented and prioritized for a quicker resolution. Sincerely, Lennar Corporate Customer Care

Poor and Disappointing Home Quality

We're previously owned a Lennar home in Southern California. Pride was very apparent in the quality and workmanship provided in our Southern California home. However, here in Fayetteville, Georgia we're very disappointed regarding the workmanship in the home. Every time I think about the cost of the high cost of home and the cheap paint, the sloppy unfinished sealing in the molding, the visible cracks in the corners and cracks in the crown molding; as well as the floating tiles in the floor which crackle when you step on them makes me sick to my stomach. We've purchased 5 new homes in our ...

We closed on the house 2 months ago. We couldn't live in the house for most of the first month because AT&T, who is the only supplier of internet and TV for the subdivision, did not have service to our location. The builder should have known that. Also, we still have outstanding items from the pre-closing punch list that are not resolved. The Home Care people contact us every couple of weeks to say that they are having a meeting to make a plan to solve our issues, but we are still waiting for them to fix cabinets and install the correct garage door. For $400,000 you expect a certain quality in a home. This does not live up to the expectations. Very poor quality paint, sheet rock, tile work, workmanship and appliances. When we moved in the oven didn’t work, the dryer outlet didn’t work, the dishwasher leaves the dishes unclean and wet, paint feels like sandpaper, paint peels off the doors if you try to clean the glass or they get wet, crack in ceiling about 6 feet long in the kitchen. The Sheetrock is a very cheap quality and very thin. You have to be very careful when you try to mount towel bars or toilet paper holders. The grout is ...

I believe that the actual foreman, Luke, whom I dealt with was not the initial lead for my home. He (and Kelly in the sales office) was a pleasure to work with and they were both very attentive with any matter I brought to their attention. Once I moved in, I noticed the quality of the build was not the “Lennar” quality I’ve come to expect from the homes my friends built with Lennar in Texas. Some of the issues I encountered are how loose my carpet is upstairs that I almost trip because of it, gaping 15 inch X 15 inch hole hidden behind my refrigerator that I only saw after we had a bad ...

I have purchased Lennar Homes in the past (Cal-Atlantic/Ryland Homes) by far this was the worst home buying experience. If it wasn't for the lot size and location, I should have gone with one of the other builders in the neighborhood (Stanley Martin or Providence Homes). The sales experience was terrible both salespeople were not on the same page and took a long time to get a response back. As far as the builder and follow up person they were great and overworked because they had a lot of building going on, but when I was able to speak with them they were able to respond to my questions. ...

My experience was the worst probably in this community. I started off renting first. When I was renting I had an excellent experience in the community so I decided to start the process of buying. As I was looking around to different communities my husband wanted to stay in the same community we currently were looking into. He talked to the woman in the front office to see if or what we can do. She gave him a number to a man named Oliver. Oliver contacted and started the process. We put the earnest money down and just did what we were supposed to do as buyers. I put my 60 days notice into the ...
