The home loan people were horrible. I wanted to back out based off of their issues but my realities talked me out of it. I like the house but you really should restructure your home loan people. It’s like they have no idea what they are doing and ask for the same thing multiple times through multiple people or they wait till last minute to ask for something that they should’ve known they’d need months prior. If I could go back and wait to purchase a home, I would. My home buying experience was horrible and now that I’ve closed it’s been my biggest regret. There’s been so many issues and bad customer service. I didn’t have this bad gut feeling for nothing. I can’t wait to get over my waiting period to put my house up for sale. I dont even care to lose Im just done with this headache.

Was able to purchase home after being selected in lottery. I was very excited but Immediately I was rushed and pressured with threats of losing opportunity to buy the house if I didn’t act on multiple request within hours and days after. Ugh!! I love my home but this was truly the worst experience I have ever had. The sales associate I worked with was not honesty, especially at the beginning about times it would take to move in. I was told 3 months and it ended up being more like 8. I would have much rather heard honest answers than dishonest answers just to get me to sign the contract. The construction manager was a breath of fresh air to work with - so that is a huge positive!! I just hated feeling manipulated buying my first home. We have lived in the home over 3 months now. We love the house and neighborhood. We were very satisfied with our sales rep and the gentleman who oversaw all the construction - I rated them both "10"s. However, I've reported in writing numerous times that the back lawn is a swamp that never drains, and KB Homes is doing absolutely nothing about it. We can't walk across the lawn without waterproof boots. We cannot mow the lawn because a mower won't make it through the mud. The dogs cannot go outside without getting their feet wet. The push to close came near fiscal ens of year in Novemwber and KB threatened to take my deposit if I did not close on a house that was clearly not finished. This push brought to light that KB's messaging about delivering a "completed, clean home" is all lip service. It was a horrible purchasing experience. I have not moved into the house because of all of the stressed associated with the purchase. It still feel pressured, rushed and distasteful. Such a kill joy!

My experience building a home with KB Home has been incredibly frustrating and stressful from start to finish. The construction of my home was delayed repeatedly, with poor and inconsistent communication throughout the process. I was rarely given clear timelines or proactive updates, which made planning nearly impossible. Each delay came with little explanation and no accountability. To start we are now in our home, we closed 6 weeks later than promised, but we moved in and the 10 day punch list items are completed. That being said, if you have already signed with KB to build, make sure you pay for an inspection before the sheetrock walk-through. KB allowed a convicted felon (many charges and jail time) to be in a supervisory position in the neighborhood, access to all the homes to be the one doing walk-thrus. He lies, represents himself as being able to do additional things for you (fencing, flooring, etc), takes your money and does not do the work. Dangerous

the only bright spots in the entire affair were the builder and our third loan officer. Everything else was horrible. We received 13 different closing dates and were cancelled 3 times by letter. Our original loan officer was terminated and our second got sick, the third saved the day.

Nobody really knows what’s going on most of the time. They claim to be very good with communication, but the communication is solely through spam and automatic emails. We had countless issues along the way that were pushed off and were told “it’ll be fine don’t worry” to include our house being done 3 months early and them trying to force us to move in or lose the house. My husband and I recently purchased a move in ready home in Sanctuary Ridge. Prior to closing, we were told that our requests would be completed quickly. After being in our home now for almost two months, we still have incomplete work items and we cannot reliably get in contact with our representative. Dishwasher, Microwave and Refrigerator had issues. Dishwasher and Refrigerator was serviced once. Microwave has been serviced by the Builder and then the homebuyer 2 times!!! Horrible.
