When my husband and I became interested in buying a home with KB we had heard great reviews about them and we were excited to work with them as well. We did not like the fact that we were assigned to one lender before signing to buy and then she was changed without our consent or prior warning. It seems like KB has the professional lender that presented well to sell but then change to another person that doesn’t care or get to know you/family. Very unprofessional and don’t like playing these games just to make a sell.

Our GC Jeremy was phenomenal and was always helpful. The overall experience was ok. The workmanship of the trades is sub par just doesn’t seem like they care. It took a year to finish the house but not too bad. KB provides a quality product and I’d say probably the best builder in our area. I really like how they use metal posts for the fence because a lot of builders just go with wood. Once again Jeremy the GC was excellent!

The house has been great so far for the 2 months that I’ve lived here. The warranty process on the other hand has been less than ideal. We’ve had some damage before delivery that needed to be replaced and it was submitted during the first month of purchase and the guy was really helpful but nothing has been done so far.

We were very excited to work with KB because the sales team is great at making the presentation and making a lot of promises. Unfortunately, many of those promises were not delivered or brushed off. After we moved in, there were too many issues, small and bigger ones that need to be addressed. Yes, the warranty team is responsive but it requires us to be at home each time we wait to someone to show up to fix something. We are in the house for 6 weeks now and I had to take 8 days off from work to be at home. That is incredibly inconvenient for a brand new house.

some things were sloppy on the build, wall was not done very well , bricks not aligned some bricks chipped, light on the porch painted over , stucco splattered on the wall of the yard and some splattered on front of the house and painted over. water pressure not very good.

Kudos to: Ms. Whitaker, Mr. Jackson, Mr. Willis and Sandra (Alamo Title). It was a long build to completion and I felt like I really had to push the last month or so to get a confirmed completion date. Once moved in, there were multi issues with asthetics. Paying more than $300,000 for a home ($700,000 in 30-yrs) I felt like the craftsmanship should have been closer to perfect. We had painters out several times for doors/trim, had our counter tops buffed (scratches/devits), one mirror was scrattched, cracked base boards replaced, etc......

We are hoppy to move in to our new house, unfortunately there are still alot of thing need to be done. My tip is to hire a private inspector and a realtor when purchasing a home, brand new or not. Make sure you dont need to rush on your closing date so that the builder will finish everything before moving in.

3 months delay caused a closing on a higher interest rate. Finishing wasn't that good. Everything in the house is a standard and you have to pay to upgrade, upgrades only cost me $31k. Little details could make difference and help me save money such as adding a towel hanger next to the shower. But one employee can change your experience and I have to thank the superintendent Bobby who delivered my house, he is super nice and professional.

The overall experience was bumpy… we started the process oct 2021 and didn’t close until Dec 2022. Which, in that period of time had no contact with anyone to update on the status of the home process. And, the closing date was moved multiple time. It took me driving by the house everyday from the time the slab was started until it was basically close to completion. Then I started getting updates that weren’t updates, they were pictures from old work. I dove by and walked through the house everyday getting my own updates and seeing progress. I feel the final product of the home was rushed. I felt there was definitely a push to close on the house and make the sale in order to meet 2022 goals for the company. Our superintendent did a first time walkthrough and the kitchen island was not yet completed the medicine cabinet was not installed in the guest bathroom. We’ve lived in the home for 2 months and have noticed drywall cracking on the ceiling, gray paint marks on the white walls. I just feel like the subcontractors and laborers were rushed to finish the job.

I provided the issues what I have seen before the closing and only couple of issuse were fixed until now. Provided all issues to the warranty guy as well and no repsonse until now. Construction is pretty below standards. It’s been littke over a month for me the new house and I see new issues which I am listing out currently.

My begining experience was very good but contractor and building experience is frustate. Material for make this house low quality I didn' any kb homes people to toldk about low quality materials and contractor alwys make me frustate . I closed my november 25 2022 but contractor installed blinder and screen fully . Contracotr installed blinder last 1/20/233 and screen last 10 days but not fully and lot of small issue have to fix but contractor don't do another issue contractor use electric wire out of wall on my garage door . it can't be even he didn't use any cover for electric wire. KB has very attractive advertised features. The workmanship is the process to remedy issues is slow. Most dissapointing is a contractually mistake they've made without fixing the issue. However they also refuse to say they won't fix it so that I can move to arbitration. Delayed responses and promises to return calls are typical even with time sensitive departments like KB's mortgage team.
