Attention to Detail was not very good at all! Response time to issues that were supposed to be addressed before move in were not completed and had to constantly call and get the same run around.

Overall I cannot complain, my home is beautiful and in a beautiful neighborhood. Pros: beautiful home, beautiful neighborhood, nice price and great location Cons: During the process was promised weekly updates from Frank in the beginning. Communication with him was very difficult and far from weekly. After the build there has been several issues that need to be fixed my weeks have been filled with appointments and people come to do the same thing or put a bandaid on an issue. Example, all doors in my home need to be replaced and someone has come to take pictures 3 times and doesn’t seem to have communication of what the next step is. The workers are excellent in customer service but I’m frustrated I can’t fully move in because they haven’t fixed what should have never been broken. The warranty person is nice and responsive for the most part but I feel like slightly aggressive if I can’t answer a call right away. I work night shift so it’s difficult. design and sales could have been more knowledgeable about product and options. construction people were responsive and knowledgeable. first time we tried the heater it smoked and set off the smoke alarm like it was never tested customer service didn’t answer my emails. waiting for replacement of bath sinks. not enough instructions for appliances and features

We love our new home but the responsiveness to issues is tough, our warranty person never got back to us about a couple of items, i still don't even know how to enter things into the warranty.

Overall quality product and quick customer response.

Keep in touch and ensure things you added on are actually being installed.

Given the Austin's crazy real estate market, KB did a good job with their pricing, as we had to wait 7 months for the delivery. They had good customer service and continuous updates, however, we had no possibility of changing anything in the house at all. The electric job was great. Lawns are terrible, seems like a tractor went through it and they didn't bother leveling it. Paint people are yet to make an appointment to fix the paint issues 2 months after closing. For the rest of the minor issues here and there their warranty team was awesome, they fixed it all very fast. I'd recommend them as long as you can select your Doors and make sure that the paint/woodmanship have been done properly. ... More

The KB realtor dropped the ball right before closing regarding the amount of money needed for closing.

You have to expect delays, along the way. Kb does not rush or cut corners, they make sure every step is done correctly and by the book.

KB home has balance of $500 with me for 60 days Early Money and No return. Why??? Any body not know. The customer service never give solution. The vender same way.

All issues to date have been resolved or are scheduled to be, within a timely manner.

I have not lived long enough in the house to provide feedback on the quality, workmanship and value.

Wait at least 2 or 3 months before moving in, do not sign walk thru papers until everything is fixed first. If you have money TELL them you or someone else will paint the house because the paint they use is cheap and most of the painter's don't know how to paint and get it all over the floor. Use a simple square and tape measure because the guys that slammed it together DIDN'T.

Great experience up until turn over of the home. several ongoing issues, no landscaping yet (and no sign of it happening anytime soon). get the feeling that there is a "pass the buck" mentality going on. with all that said, we are really happy with the home. just frustrated that we have/had to deal with some of the issues that should have been done at or prior to closing.

House buying during a pandemic was a bit trying. Kb did a good job in a tough situation.

Customer service was nice and friendly. We weren’t given the options to upgrade anything. We were given a 30 minute notice to close on the house. There are things that are still broken that were brought up in the walk through. Trimming on the house is peeling off the walls. The back and front yards are nice and big.

Beautiful Home designs & locations to pick from!

Everything seems to be an upgrade. The model homes are somewhat misleading but the prices of the upgrades are not bad. Overall pricing is alright but the timeline and follow up is not always the best. I have been living in our home for 3 months so far so good just some minor things need to followed up by w/ warranty.

Overall it was a great experience with few hiccups along the way. The KB team was able to acknowledge and address my concerns in a timely matter. If anything was missed, a simple follow up seemed to suffice and any issues were taken care of. One complaint I will have is in regards to the choice of leaving the ugly, black tube for the AC condensation drain. I’ve never seen that before and every house I’ve lived in prior has had some sort if PVC piping going into the ground (sort of a French drain). It looks pretty shoddy while it kills my grass and serves as an ideal chew toy for my dog. Wish this was addressed. Otherwise, I ultimately had a good experience. Five stars means perfect (which doesn’t exist) so 4 across the board and 3 for quality mainly because of the AC condensation drain and the number of touch ups that were needed. ... More

Great value for a start home under current market. Need more consideration for normal design to fit for smaller house these days such as avoid door overlap when both open, two big oak trees in a very small from lawn that too close to drive way...

As a first time home buyer and after all the things I went through with others I have to say I am happy with my new home.!

Some of the materials that they used are too cheap.

good builder but could have used a thicker carpet. I got the free option, carpet feels really thin. It looks good but some areas you can feel the staples or screws, especially on the corners.

I was extremely pleased with the building supervisor, Ryan. He always addressed my concerns and returned my phone calls in a timely manner. However, I am not happy with the faucets that were placed in all the sinks and the careless paint job that was done. For the money that I paid for this home, KB should of had better quality materials! Furthermore, the home lacks light. It should of had more windows and more lighting in the bathroom by the sinks. I also have to turn my lights on during the day in my kitchen. How is this going to save me energy? I also hate the toilets! I have to flush more than once! Again, I am wasting water, not saving water. Overall, the materials that were used in the home are not to my satisfaction! ... More
