Pressed board kitchen cabinets and vanities, not even wood. Front door fell off one of the kitchen drawers after only 6 wks in the house. No drawers in either vanity cabinets. Refrig door handle falling off. Cheap bathroom fixtures. Kitchen cabinets too far up from the counter top. Can only reach first 2 shelves, others are useless. Just a lot of short cuts.

Process is slow on loan approval due to poor communication between builder , loan coordinator and appraiser. Appraiser was not communicating well

In a couple of words - pretty good overall, recommend.

Yes for the value today I think they could put a little more into the building process of the upgrades probably could have offered more and with this only being too much into the moving process it really takes the first year to see how the house holds up so what I would like to see is this survey to come back after a year and then I could really give it a good evaluation

Nice experience but difficult to get help with warranties

Hard to tell how this is going to hold up but the canned lights started falling out of the ceiling the second week I was here. The water in this area is absolutely horrible- I don’t see how anyone could live without a whole house filter and softener- yet the house is not plumbed for installing a system- except for the side of the house by the street- in the sun and in plain sight. I have several issues that I asked for help with and they say they will come check but nobody ever shows up. They promised that if I would give them a 10 on the survey- they would come back and paint the garage that was left unpainted- something that would have taken them 15 minutes to paint when it was empty and they were painting everything else anyway- yet they chose not to do it in order to get a perfect score. Well I answered the survey before moving in- gave a perfect score because I wanted the garage painted. I’m buying paint today and painting the garage myself- it has been a month since the survey. I’m not holding my breath that anyone will show up and do what they said. I can fix stuff and I’ll hire outside people to come fix things. I just don’t know why they make those promises. Hoping the house will hold up- luckily not much has fallen apart in the first month so maybe the construction is good- can’t really judge that completely after a month. Responsiveness to issues with the structure is not impressive. Maybe that is not part of the deal- not sure why they tell you that then. ... More

Very easy process from start to finish.

KB home price is ok, house building not that good, because my house a lot cracked , but Charlie take care good, very good service, he is very friendly and wonderful!

Everything had been great other than the promise to have our front yard and wing fence put in. We have been told over and over that it will be done and still have nothing. It has been the only thing we have had trouble getting answers about.

It was a long process from beginning to end, but nothing longer than what they quoted us in the beginning. Everyone in the process made themselves available for any questions we had and even after we moved in. My loan officer, Brian was great and took the time to explain everything to me. Lori was also super fast with responses and answers to questions.

The quality and workmanship building my home was rushed. There were so many cosmetic issues that needed to be cured after move in. The garage door button on the wall was not working due to electrical wiring issues. The first floor bath shower wall had deep scratches, and the ceramic sink had Grey spots embedded in the sink which was a defect. First floor front entrance door, the fire door to garage, and the first floor bath door needed adjustments,. The kitchen cabinet doors had gaps needed adjustments, and they forgot to install the bottom Molding to the cabinets. Missing closet Door handle Plates, the strike plate on the laundry door casing issue, and the White cap on the 2nd floor bedroom Closer door stopper for the bedroom closet door above the garage. First floor window latch was loose, large drywall cracks in my kitchen ceiling, and master bedroom ceiling from the air vent. Bedroom and bathroom door finish Was painted over due to scratches, and golf size dips in the wall. The builder warranty rep was quick to schedule dates and increments for vendors to come out to the house to cure the issues. Overall it’s a good home, and they were very responsive to my issues. ... Service after the sale has been disappointing at best!

Sales Process was amazing! Kimberly was so helpful and was always around for each step of our hole being built. The builders side of the experience was not the best. After we moved in we started to notice paint chipping outside of the home. The base boards aren’t straight. We felt a little rushed on our final walk, where it felt like we didn’t get to look closely at our home before closing and the builders would mention they would be around to assist if needed. It was good and had no issues.

Home, overall, is great. Sales people and Superintendents are responsive to issues that need to be address. During the walk-thru process, many things were pointed out as "needs to be corrected" and they didn't get fixed, so we continue to point them out, which is frustrating

KB homes is a great place to buy your dream house. I really love my new house. Just wish I had prior experience buying a house so I could get certain things inplace on the house before I moved it.

House is nice and energy efficient, but material used is below par. All interior doors needs re-adjustment. Overall, newer house is not built like how they used to.

Buying experience was great. Winnie and Jeff were very responsive and great to work with. Once I moved in, the response was less immediate. I either have had to fix the small concerns myself or continue to wait for them to be fixed. Although I have had a few hiccups, I would say overall it was a great experience.

Kari, my sales person was great. Everyone was great before closing. But it seems once you close, PM's disappear and don't respond. I have had major issues with doors and paint in my house, it keeps happening and it is very frustrating. The PM, Paul and Shelby in customer claims have been good to work with, but I need this issue to be corrected so that it doesn't happen anymore.

I am VERY happy with the house overall. It is a dream for me, and I love the design, energy efficiency, and open space. It's in a great area. Aside from the insane unpredictability of when the house would be ready (COVID was very hard to work around), the one headache has been all the cosmetic fixes since moving in. You can tell that the work was rushed and attention to detail was not the priority. I could point you to every corner of the house where lines are not straight, paint was done too quickly, marks / chips everywhere, etc. The only time I felt heard in all this was when a KB customer service rep came to visit the house, and she could see all the the areas of improvement. She assured me that all the vendors would take care of this without me having to look over their shoulders, but that's precisely what I've had to do. I have to field dozens of calls from different vendors for very specific areas of the house (different people for painting, floors, counters, cabinets, AC, security, etc. etc. etc.). And each time someone shows up, I have to point out extremely specific paint splatters, chips, etc...I cannot rely on anyone to actually assess the area and be proactive about addressing every tiny detail. Living alone with a full time job, it's extremely difficult for me to find the time to, essentially...babysit every vendor / contractor who comes through the door. I wish that the KB rep who visited me would take the reins and coordinate every single person and oversee that the cosmetic fixes are top notch. What an adventure getting into our new home. There were a few bumps but we manage to get through it. Just wish we could of locked in our interest rate sooner. Sebrina and Nora were great to work with. Sebrina sent picture updates as things were getting done. Nora, resolved every lending issue and communicated with us often. Looking at our home from the outside was everything we expected. But during our walkthrough there were many flaws I noticed and some after getting settled in. With the time KB took to build our home these issues should have been seen and fixed. We've reached out to KB warranty the issues will be looked and hopefully resolve. I used KBHS loan services and it is hard to reach out to them. Emails may take days to get a response. It is not easy to reach your loan agent by phone too. Design Studio was ok. Studio employees need more training. I was not able to get certaion answers for some questions I had. there is not enough information for employees to reference for each floor plan's design options changes. HomePro studio appointment was not good. Their consultants don't know what they are selling. They failed to provide some key points about the packages you are puchasing. Get ready for suprises. The built process was good at the beginning. It was fast, and their construction engineer was responsive most of the time. Things got slower at the end. We had to remind every issue multiple times, It was like 1 person responsible from the whole community. We closed a while ago and still trying to get some of the work done that we have spoken months and months ago. The paint job is not the best. Below 3 stars over 5. No attention to detail. Looks like rushed. The room doors are cheap quality. Same as kitchen cabinets. I feel like the standard cabinets in the design studio were different than the ones we have. We wish we could give 5 stars across the board, but in good conscience, we can not. So many minor flaws because the build process was rushed to meet a deadline. We sure reported at 10 and 30 days still aren’t resolved. Sloppy craftsmanship on concrete work, with un-smooth areas, chunks missing, materials sticking up and out of concrete. Walls have so many areas paint is missing, scrapes from tools to apply texture, Covid moneyed areas larger than 10” missed. Grout slipped all over floorboards in every single room. Caulking forgotten on bathroom mirrors. Most doors would not latch shut. Sloppy stucco work on the front of the house. Chipped tiles. Cracked grout. Sloppy grout work at particularly at corners and edges where tiles weren’t cut correctly and excess grout was put in to hide money stakes; leaving thicker grout lines next to neighboring lines. We love our home and the design options we chose, but wish someone would have explained consequences of not choosing certain things, and that didn’t happen. We just wish the follow through with minor problems would’ve been taken care of, instead we are feeling ignored because everyone is busy at the new development areas. The only saving grace for our build experience is that Robert and Thomas have been very kind, honest, and understanding about any questions and/or complaints. ... More

The buying process and completion date was great except for some miner flaws of workmanship and upgrade option issues but has been fixed and now satisfied. Thank you!
