The garage is way to small and not smartly designed to maximize space

Just customer services is good, I am happy to got home.

I wish KB homes was more flexible and agreeable to minor design changes.

Satisfied about most things except lawn. There are some damages of my backyard lawn next to the lot under construction.

All individuals that I dealt with during the construction of my new KB Home were very responsive and professional. At no point during the house build did I feel that I didn't know what the status was. Our forcasted move in date was met with no delays. I was able to select the fixtures for my house from the design studio, but was disappointed in the selections available, I would have preferred some higher end fixtures. I ended up having to replace lights, shelving, etc immediately after moving in since I wanted higher quality fixtures. The workmanship and quality of the painting was sub-par with paint splattered on many places on the windows, floor and carpeting. The paint issues were caused by a lack of attention to detail and not using masking tape/drop cloths etc. All in all, I got a bit more than I expected from my KB home and am quite satisfied with the outcome. ... I was quite disappointed when I was told that I was not going to get any help from KB Homes with the possibility of having a rodent in an interior wall of my new home. Obviously the home was not properly sealed when being constructed to allow rodents to be able to get into the framing and drywall

Everything has been great so far however we’ve been promised a pool by Memorial Day which takes 8 months start to finish. Upon buying around July for closing in August they were suppose to be breaking ground. Nothing had been even remotely close to breaking ground and we’ve been provided no update in site or no transparency about it. The pool community was a huge drive for why we chose this development with three children.

The sales team and design studio were wonderful to deal with. The construction team/superintendent, as well as the warranty team have been less than ideal to work with. The communication from both of those teams is lacking, and we have a hard time gettina a response from either of them. We've submitted warranty claims and claims regrding non-disclosed active wells on our property, and for several weeks, nobody has done anything about it.

I had a positive experience with KB Homes until the end. It took 11 months for them to complete a townhouse, nearly 5 months more than they had originally predicted. I had 3 building contractors during that time and my sales rep also left during that time. The lack of consistency between the different phases was evident. The builders have been given too much on their plates to truly manage everything well. They are capable individuals, but the company has set them up for failure. My home was rushed to be finished and many final details were not finished well. The closing date was set and then pushed back another time and the to-do list was long even after closing. Communication was often lacking. The end of construction/closing was not as I had hoped and makes it difficult to recommend KB Homes to others for the time being. Quality of material and workmanship is not great.

Overall I am satisfied with KB Home purchasing investment homes

The only down side we experienced was timing. House was 2 weeks behind schedule and the house was not complete when we did our final walk through or second final walk through before closing.

They gave attention to every tiny details. I'm very happy with the construction and also with the maintenance.

The best buying experience I’ve ever had. Everyone was great to work with and the sales staff was very responsive to all of my concerns. I was disappointed with the initial interior painting of the walls and doors, but KB Home was quick to rectify the issue and make sure that I was happy with the final outcome. The house is very energy efficient and I would highly recommend this builder.

KB was real quick to try to get the homes done that they hired the fastest yet obviously cheapest contractors and tried to get it done in sloppy record speed.. Overall, it's liveable and I AM ultimately happy with my home although it's been nearly two months since closing and still waiting on all (somewhat minor) repairs to be fixed. I'm having to take off half a days work (which will likely turn into two half days if I suspect we're working with the same contractors) to deal with what should have been addressed with the contractors themselves prior to move in, but I digress.. Aside from all that, salesmen Jack was absolutely great to work with although is no longer there. My finance rep John made the buying process easy-breezy. Building reps Kelly and Alyssa are doing everything they can to get items addressed and fixed so I can finally really be comfortable and happy in my own home. I feel like a lot of the issues I'm having to deal with is partly out of their hands and feel bad for being annoyed at this process but they've been doing a great job with what they have and I thank them for listening and understanding. Above all, I am happy with my home and just can't wait for the adjustments/fixes to be made and really feel at home in my home. With all that being said, would I recommend purchasing with KB Homes? Yes but I hope they take into account all their customers feedback and take take-away needless issues to avoid for the next person.. Thanks ... More

I knew purchasing a new home will come with a few bumps and bruises and roadblocks, but all in all, it was good. A few minor things that needed to be worked on but Kasey has been on it to make sure it has or will be repaired.

For the most part it was a pleasant experience. The days leading up to closing were incredibly stressful, though. It seemed as though there was no communicaiton between KB homes, KB home loans, the lawyer's office, and my realtor/myself. No one was on the same page, the loan office was unhelpful and condesending, my house wasn't completed/cleaned before closing. And it was just overall an incredibly stressful experience.

Noticed crack in bedroom window. Informed salesperson, who stated the replacement window was on order. During homeowner orientation, noticed blinds were placed over broken window. The Superintendent of construction was not aware of the issue. So, who ordered the replacement window? Was not made aware of non-delivery of mail. Was informed by different salesperson, 2 weeks after closing of mail delivery issue only when I inquired about time of delivery. This information should have been disclosed at closing. Two months after closing, still have to go into post office to retrieve mail. Such an inconvenience. Overall, good price for value paid. ... More

We have several ongoing issues in addition to the many, some resolved, experienced. In no particular order: 1) We purchased two ceiling fan presides that were suppose to work off of two wall switches. However, only one switch works and the other is dead (times two). KB electrician blamed us for getting a ceiling fan that he said was not compatible with two switches. That is nonsense as ALL ceiling fans come wired liked the ones we bought. So we paid for something that doesn’t function. 2) We were told that the homes on either side of us and the three behind us would not have the same color scheme. The house directly behind us is identical in color to ours and the one next to that is very similar in color to ours. Not happy with the talk and no enforcement. And it looks stupid with two homes exactly the same color next to each other. Very upset. 3) The sod on the right side of the house as you look at it didn’t take and is dead and looks bad 1 1/2 months in. No effort was made to initially lay the sod on flat ground as the lumps in the sod are everywhere. You should roll over the sod to flatten it and the ground at the time of installation. 4) It has been 1 1/2 months and the coating is coming off the black cabinet handles and you can see silver. That coating is so thin and cheap. 5) The cement has cracked on the sidewalk already. 6) The interior primary bathroom door is difficult to close as it is not aligned properly. 7) The primary bathroom shower drip pan is not centered on the plumbing opening and you can feel the screws from the protective plate with your feet because they are screwed in to nothing. 8) The area to put the modem and router is so incredibly inconvenient. The devices do not fit in the opening and closing the door is difficult. 9) There are chips and holes in many places in the foundation thinset covering. Bugs, moisture, etc., can easily penetrate and get into the foundation. 10) The floor appears to be unlevel in spots as we are finding that we have to adjust chair and furniture legs that we did not have to do in our prior house. Quite frankly, I have another ten issues at least but am tired of typing. And I haven’t mentioned the bad attitude our first builder, Terry, had that really spoiled this whole experience. Hard to rank value. There are many things we love about the home but they all came at a price. Construction seems to be solid. Appliances were not installed well. Some big issues going on now with infrastructure in the neighborhood which is unnerving. We will see how it all works out.

Everything was great initially, but the financial part could have been better. The people from KBHS (Loan) worked like they didn't know exactly what they were doing, and in the end, I lost money and time because of them. When I asked for help because I had problems because of them, the manager answered, "It is what it is, and I had to see how to solve my problems." when we finished closing, all the promises made by the project manager of a second walk after the 30 days, nothing, I am still waiting, there are some details in the house that I had reported, and I don't receive any answer. In conclusion, everything was excellent in the sales part, but in the financial, you better save some money and work with other lenders and don't believe in all the promises by the construction part because at the end, when you are done with the closing, they forget about you. ...
