Great starter house for us, can't beat the location.

The office staff was great, responsive, and very intentive. The Studio process was very rushed and once covid started it was merely impossible to make and additions or changes, which we were told we would have two studio sessions and we really only received one. A few options were left out and we figured it out after the construction had begun. The construction phase was dragged out during covid which forced me to stay at an undesirable place for four months long than intended but our contractor was able to finish the home before their projected date. The home was finished with minor issues such as, a wrong door, doors not closing completely, light fixtures falling out and an overlap of concrete in the backyard. The experience from buying to move-in was well managed by the KBHome selling agent and the building superintendent. They were very attentive to my needs and many questions.

My experience with Fred and his construction manager Russel, is the only 100% positive feedback I can give anyone I have came into contact with for my KB house buying experience. They both answered all my concerns in a timely manner and followed through with any repairs that were needed. If it had not been for Russel and Fred my rating for responsiveness and trustworthiness would have been lower. Thanks both for leveling out my negative experiences with financial and some on the sales team.

My wife and I bought our house while living in San Diego. Our sales rep Amanda and contractor Ryan kept us up to date throughout the whole process which eased the stress with COVID happening as I was unable to leave San Diego.

Make sure your house is built the same as the model. When you at the design center don’t aloud them to rush you with your selections.

The plans to the homes built need some work. There were some quirk issues with aisle spacing in the kitchen.

Overall I’m really happy with my house. I did notice a week after moving in, the paint on the outside of the French doors was already chipping off. Seems Like they only used one coat. The KB sales rep opened a claim for me when I initially told her, but as of yet, I had not received a call.

We are very happy with everything about the house. A few things needed to be fixed that are probably part of normally buying a brand new home but they were quick to schedule and come out. The only thing we were unhappy about was the extra carpet padding we bought because the installer cut it too short so you actually feel the wood stair under your feet and they didn’t pound all the nails down so that hurt. Again, In the process of having it fixed though And quick to schedule.

We are really happy with our house.

Overall excellent, exceeded expectations, but not a perfect 5 stars.

Great builders less than stellar materials. Some questions, particularly early on, took days to get answered.

KB is one of the best home builder in Las Vegas

Jeff from the sales office was very friendly and quick to respond to our needs. There were several things that had to be cleaned up after our walkthrough that seemed to be ignored but we were reassured by the superintendent that 1 year home warranty will cover it.

It's the little things in life that matter most and the finish carpentry was extremely poor. Walls not plumb, messy grout lines, dings & nicks everywhere (interior & exterior). I also need to mention KBH's framing means & methods. KBH doesn't cover the whole exterior shell of their homes in plywood sheathing or board of any kind because their homes have been "engineered" and the sheathing is only needed in "certain locations" to meet the shear strength requirements. So KBH uses 25 to 50% less sheathing per home, saving them a ton of money but not necessarily the consumer. From a business standpoint I get it, but from a consumers standpoint KBH just seems cheap. Another small rub I had was the 24 inch on center framing (in lieu of 16" standard) for interior walls that aren't consider load barrier. Overall very good. A couple of things that needed to be seen to but if I needed something Paul always answered my texts and helped out.

I like my single story home very much. I bought the 1849 model. One issue I have is that I wish the company would build single story homes near each other instead of being sandwiched in between gigantic two story homes. Also the basic home too expensive to start out with since the buyer is absolutely compelled and finds it necessary to upgrade.

Our Super has been really good. Any concerns that I have had he has taken care of them. I lived only a mile away from our new KB home so we were there almost every night after work. I always had questions and he explained everything well. I did not like the financing experience, that was a PAIN! But, again, overall we are enjoying our home and looking forward to spending these first Holidays in it!

The home was great and allowed for further improvements that was easy for me. The welcoming crew and Rick the manager was very helpful during the walkthrough and when we had some questions and issues with the house. Rick was very helpful and very prompt with service and follow through.

Overall very pleased with our home. There were some small glitches in end but most were resolved to our liking. The main issue I have is the constant surveys and reviews requested by KB, plus the insistence by the staff the receive all 10's for ratings (because they don't get their bonus if not all tens). Well, news for you KB nobody is capable of all 10's all the time. People make mistakes. Plus, nagging by the staff every time we saw them to "please give us 10's on the survey. That was enough to make me want to give 0's. You should want to know what the issues were not the successes. One staff member hinted at giving us extra things on our home so we would give him 10's. If you want a true measure of how you are doing, look at how many referrals from current homeowners to prospective buyers. ... More
