The entire process from signing the contract to closing date was good. The communication with the sales person, construction manager was very good. Hired a private inspector to review to 3 stages of construction and his opinion of construction quality was much better than many builders. Any issues that came up were resolved in a timely manner. But the biggest issue i had was network cabling for home network. The electricians pulled cat6 data cable. They used electrical boxes instead of low voltage boxes in the wall. The cut the cables in the wiring closet with only 30 inches exposed. The even pulled one data cable i paid for and them removed it when sheetrock was installed. They would not allow me to hire my own cabling contractor. The result was i had to rip most of it out and do it myself after closing. I do "IT" support from home and need a reliable home network. Building out a wired home network would have been much easier during framing but was not allowed to do so. Other than the home network problem the outcome of the overall build was pretty good due to the weekly verification of work and communication and initiated with sales and the construction manager. ... I’m happy with my Home and would recommend KHOV to anyone. Garrett their construction manager is amazing, he was great and honestly he is the main reason why I would recommend them.

This Builder was amazing, they made the process super easy and smooth, the people who were helping us through this did an amazing job taking care of us, answering emails, questions, and phone calls every step of the way. We love the home would highly recommend

The Sales Team and Construction Manager are professional, responsive, and friendly. The Corporate personnel are difficult to work with, scheduled closing and walk through at same time, and could not be reached easily.

We have had prior experience with KHov in a different market here in Texas. The staff here have all been very helpful along the way. From Leonard and Iman at the sales office to Carlos the superintendent, all have been very nice and responsive. The different subs involved are simply here to get the job done in whatever way is efficient. It has not necessarily been skilled or appropriate. Paint and drywall were the worst. When the home buyer has to go through the home with blue tape, there is a problem. We spent too many hours doing someone else’s job in order to get it done properly. The AC will need additional adjustments in the coming months because we were dismissed prior to closing when we voiced our concerns. Arches and walls are crooked in many main areas of the house. This can’t be corrected now. And should have been addressed prior to finishing the drywall phase. The drainage swale adjacent to to the home is a small pond harboring mosquitoes. We understand this is a developer responsibility but KHov also owns the lot/home next door and holds some responsibility also. Carlos was very helpful in getting our fence straightened after a recent wind event just after we closed. But if the adjacent ground were more stable, there may not have been an issue. There was no issue on the other side of the yard. The house was allegedly cleaned prior to closing but it really wasn’t. Great house that I love it.

The overall experience was pleasant. The sales portion could've been better for a first time home-owner, however the construction team and process was exceptional.

The sales rep was very attentive and timely in both responses and updates; very diligent, reliable, accommodating, and efficient. She helped make the home-buying process and experience easy and enjoyable. Additionally, she helped smooth over some bumps in the road. The building team did a good job overall, despite some moments of untimely responses. Team members were very courteous, and their follow-up repairs (per inspection reports) were timely and clean.

That my back yard would be looking at the water, that didn’t happen. It’s a privacy fence, instead a iIron rod fence. My loan guy Nate was good.

What I would like others to know about K. Hovnanian is that they understand the importance of building a valuable home.

The builder was helpful when things went wrong. They were very responsive to our concerns and stepped in when there was an issue. The work on the home itself was not as clean and seamless but we were okay with that since the builder was able to work with us and provide extra caulking in areas as needed.
