JW homes built my home with 3 rd car garage, but without enough paved drive way to navigate a car into the garage. When complained, they don’t even bother to acknowledge there is a problem and try to make corrections

Poor finishes, no attention to details, lack of response from the building team, multiple things still to be completed more than one month after closing.

I closed on my home on November and there are still outstanding issues that should have been addressed prior to closing.

No action. Builder says always everything is good. material is fine. but finish very poor. wrong paint, wall crack, missing column molding, window broken, poor flooring(uneven)

My wife and I have never had a worse experience than with a company like this. Stay away from any John Weiland development, as it is under the guise of Pulte Construction. We were warned but current residences, but did not listen. The experiences and stories we have are numerous and would be hard for anyone to even believe. Don’t make the same mistake we did.

Our builder, Travis H. was the absolute worst -- no attention to detail and any issues raised were NOT addressed. We escalated our concerns with upper management and delayed our closing only to find little to no work was done. And upper management didn't address the issue. We are now living through the remodel of our brand new home to fix the egregious issues which weren't addressed when they were building our home. Corey M., the 4th builder we have had since signing the contract, has been excellent in communication and in trying to address our concerns. Unfortunately, we are not the only home buyers having this same concerns/issues. The other 3 units in our townhome section and all 6 across the courtyard have all complained about the workmanship, the inexperienced builders building high priced townhomes and the delayed closings. Pulte/Wieland is clearly over their head in building high end townhomes and upper management at the Atlanta office, doesn't seem to care that about the workmanship, delays or how their new home owners feel about their experience or the company's reputation -- very short-sighted. ... IT IS NOT ANY MOORE , WHAT JOHN WIELAND CONSTRUCTION USE TO BE.

No need to - they sent a survey to complete a while back - which was done - but not even a house rat has called me to discuss my concerns- the only reason we bought at Foundry is because of Location - NOT BUILDER ! That sentiment is shared with a good majority of the residents that i have personally spoken to - extremely shady and incompetent work - watch this , if a builder cant get basic painting done right what does that tell you ?? Nuff said !

This is our 8th homs purchase (5th new construction) and hands down it was the worst. Our experience consisted of broken commitments, poor responsiveness and build quality. I will not recommend this builder to anyone.

The build quality and workmanship are poor. The follow up on punch items is horrible.

Build took 19 months instead of the 12 promised. No exceptions considered for customers who had to move to interim housing as a result. Closing delayed due to incredibly inferior workmanship. Incentive $ pulled out of deal the night before closing. Roof section is still missing both shingles and felt. On site foreman and customer care MBR overwhelmed with complaints, follow-up action is unacceptably slow.

If you want a 5-star headache, buy a home from these guys. Otherwise, just walk away. Although we are very happy in our new home, getting to this point was a nightmare. We had the worst project manager ever, a guy who was unhappy in his job and basically took out his frustrations on us and our home. Nothing was done right and the workmanship of what was done can only be described as amateurish. I won't describe the comedy of errors this construction site was, but took weeks to get things right. Everything you want costs money. They charge about double what you would pay for things like ceiling fans, so if you can install them yourself, do it yourself and save money. We bought the house before it even had drywall, yet we could not change what tile went in the bathrooms. Preposterous. As you deal with Pulte, you will find that the customer does not come first. They make loads of promises, but do not deliver. Whatever you do, don't make plans around your alleged closing date. They missed four closing dates for us, and missed the closing dates on the other three houses around us as well. I don't know how much that cost them, but it's amazing that Pulte, who owns John Wieland, can throw away money like that and not hold anyone accountable. After you close, their responsiveness to issues is tortoise-slow. It took two weeks for them to figure out who is in charge of our house, now that the previously-mentioned project manager left the company. Once again, many things have been promised, but nothing has been delivered. E-mails to corporate higher-ups have gone unanswered, so we can only assume that the do-nothing corporate culture at Pulte/Wieland goes all the way to the top. John Wieland sold out to Pulte years ago, and when he did, so went his name and reputation. I would probably sell out for $400 million plus too, but don't expect a John Wieland experience when you buy a Pulte home. ... More
