Still trying to get things resolved after living here for two months. Worry about issues, I’ve heard about since moving in . Painting was poor.

Ensure work is done thoroughly and you have looked at everything. The contractors tend to miss things here and there.

The quality with certain items around the house were not up to par. Who ever does quality control needs to be fired. I had a lot of things I pointed out during the build process that needed to be fixed. Blue taped it all during walk thru's with my construction manager. I was told they would be fixed. Some were but they were only the small quick fix items. My kitchen was never fixed. Drawers, cabinets are misaligned. Trim pieces were damaged and not replaced. Now after closing the cabinet company got called out to fix my issues. Now I have more issues as the workers did a horrible job and a incomplete job. After moving in had to have high land homes have a drywall guy come fix some drywall that I found the not have a straight seen at two walls. Again this all comes down to quality control and the guy that also does it , is terrible at their job. Also whoever passes the home for inspection is also terrible. I'm glad I hired a third party inspector. If I didn't hire one, my a/c duct work would not be properly secured and there would be finger jointed wood boards in the attic in spots that your not allowed to use finger jointed boards. Sales was great. Closing was great. The build process was a nightmare, horrible. Was told one thing and another thing happened. My experience in purchasing a home with HighLands homes has been exceptional with the Sales rep. at WoodForest however not so well since the workmanship and quality build has been very poor and am highly dissatisfied since the many sub contractors hired on lacked experience, quality build, workmanship, poor judgment. These contractors did not care about their job, they just came in to do the bare minimum and left to goto the next job. I monitored my home build daily. I would come on site over see the build, take pictures on the progress of the build and saw so many mistakes these contractors were doing, some of which these contractors should have been fired on the spot. ... Do not trust, don't sign documents until they finish the final walk through issues

Wish the builder Joseph would take care of the things in my home that was supposed to be fixed before I closed. My cabinets, floor and stairs has yet to be fixed. After I closed I was pretty much on my own. Sprinkler company also still hasn’t came out.

I had a fabulous time buying this house. The sale services and the interaction with construction manager were flawless. The sale coordinator was super responsive and hard working. My text and emails were answered within half hour or immediately unless she was in meetings. The construction manager did a thorough handover with touch up paint and detailed explanations of equipments/ fixtures. Landscaping was completed before move in. Unfortunately I have to take off one star because the location of the furnace. It's hidden in a cut out hole in the attic, and to service or just simply replace the filter, serviceman will need to go thru the master bedroom, and bathroom to get to the closet with a ladder (no ladder built for services). Other than this unfortunate detail, everything else points to a flawless dream house. BTW, all bathroom, kitchen sink, shower faucets are MOEN high end brand. Unfortunately, we had to wait over a year for construction of our home to be completed due to no power to our subdivision. Highland helped accommodate us for the delay and there were benefits in checking construction status each week in- person. Without the delay in construction we would have given 5 star rating. We are very happy with our new home.

Expect a good experience with Highland Homes. Our sales person, Tony, was super helpful explaining everything about buying our home. The design center personnel were easy to work with and helped us make the best choices. We have been very pleased with our warranty experience so far. Jack and team have been very responsive to all our questions and had the various teams complete the warranty work very quickly and thoroughly. We’re pleased with our decision to purchase a Highland Homes.

Going into our first home purchasing experience, Nick our builder really made us feel welcomed and well informed. He really went over every single detail of the home with us and addressed any concerns we had. Leading up to and after purchasing our home he's been very responsive on any concerns and definitely had everything taken care right away for us. I'd definitely reccomend Nick and Highland to any of my friends and family because of the great experience we had.

Quality of build is great. Materials do not feel cheap like other builders.

I recently built and closed a home with Highland Homes. Overall, the home turned out well, and I’m happy with the end result, but the process required active involvement to get everything to the right standard. What went well Home quality: The overall structure and layout are strong. The final look is clean and modern with the right selections. Design options: The design center offers a solid range of choices to create a cohesive finish. Timeline: Construction and closing stayed mostly on track. Responsiveness and service: This is where they did very well. The team responded quickly to issues and worked to resolve them without much pushback. Even larger items were addressed, which I appreciated. Great house with many desirable features. Quality was great.

It was very easy to work with the builder’s agent, Jack L., during the planning process. He was quick to respond and consistently kept me informed about building progress. The construction manager, Bennett, was excellent — I really appreciated the weekly update emails and the site visits to review progress in person. I only wish the closing process had not felt so rushed. Overall, it was a very good experience

Unfortunately, one of the subcontractors absolutely failed in trying to resolve an ongoing issue. While it was finally resolved, it was because of my persistence, not the builder’s or the subcontractor’s efforts. This one experience was a total fail which turned an otherwise amazing homebuyer experience from all 5’s to all 4’s.

We had a few hiccups early on in the construction process. But, once Eric got involved everything worked smoothly. Eric is EXTREMELY good at his job and was very responsive to any and all my concerns!

Communication and follow thru was missing at times. It felt like we didn't know where things were such as sprinkler system to shut down the water consumption. We've been in our new home for six weeks and some (not all) repairs are finally being taken care of. We still have an issue with the kitchen cabinet drawer broken. Design of home is nice, functionality is less than desirable. For example the kitchen does not have enough counter space or cabinets. Very tight between island and stove area.

The house is very nice. Every person I’ve worked with was a wonderful. I feel like there was some things that were too rushed through and was some visible. When I asked for something to be done, though, everyone listened and explained the situation and took care of what I needed.

The entire process was good, and I was fairly compensated for the six months delay. The house was exactly as I expected it to be. I am happy with the price I paid; it was a good value. Highlands Homes is a trustworthy company; they provided everything that was promised to me, I would recommend Highland Homes for anyone planning to build.

It was a very smooth process. No delays or issues. Very easy company to work with.

Will recommend Highland to friends….. excellent!
