I’ve heard nothing but bad things about people who build their own home. However we had the best experience with Highland. Our builder was great, he communicated all along the way so we were never left wondering what was happening.

We purchased a home from Highland at the end of 2018. The sales representative and the builder were extremely attentive, patient, and competent with all aspects of getting into and becoming settled in the home. I was most impressed that they lived up to every commitment in preparing the hand over of the house. I greatly appreciate the professional and personal approach Highland Homes takes to satisfy their clients during and after the home was purchased. I strongly recommend working with Highland.

Highland homes have gone above and beyond everything we have expected in a home builder. We noticed some things that we though could have been addressed by simply sanding and repainting but the builder explained it would be better to replace it completely new. No other builder would have done this.

I bought this house as a spec about half way through the build. They were able to work with me on my closing date and were very helpful and professional throughout the rest of the build. I would recommend Roy and Rich to anyone looking to build their dream house!

In every case, the builder and office staff of Highland addressed the issues, and took care of them over-and-above what was needed to make us happy. Our sales counselor was truly amazing - she listened to exactly what was important to us and helped think outside the box to achieve our dream. Then the hand off to the construction manager was just as good. He brought some excellent suggestions to the table and worked through some (inevitable) minor obstacles that presented themselves along the build process. Now that we have been in our home for a few months, we've had a couple minor things here and there, and the warranty process is just as great. My husband and I could not be happier and are so fortunate to have Highland build our dream. I would highly recommend Highland to anyone looking for a new construction home. This was our first brand new home purchase and it was a fantastic experience. Our builder, Andrew, was very easy to work with and very quick to respond to any concerns or questions we had during the entire process. No detail was too small to address. We are extremely happy with our new Highland Home.

The experience was not what I expected. I’ve heard horror stories about building a house and people saying it was the worst experience ever. With highland homes, that’s not the case. I literally am a highland homes forever customer. This experience was absolutely painless and stress free! I highland recommend building a highland home. Ask for Zach and use Chris as your builder if offered.

David was great, House only needed a few touch ups. Alicia, the sales associate, tried to scam us out of something because we had “already closed and it would’ve been taken care of if we hadn’t asked after we closed” (which we did). Without David’s help she would have scammed us. Thank you, David

The Best Builder in Texas

I had built a home prior to this with a different builder and assumed I'd experience much of the same issues and related stress with this new build with Highland. Thankfully I was wrong! The process from start to finish was like a dream. When any issues did pop up (as is the nature of new construction), the Highland team (especially the builder and Sales Rep) were nothing short of outstanding! I actually enjoyed every phase immensely and I am so grateful to Highland for that experience. They have my highest recommendation.

Great to work with from design to build to finish. Everything we asked for before, during, and after the construction process was completed as promised. They made everything right!

Be sure to ask plenty of questions. Highland staff are very helpful and approachable. There are no dumb questions!

Overall buying our Highland Home was a positive experience. There were several issues during the building but that happens to every home builder. Melissa our construction manager was very attentive and took care of each issue quickly.

My husband and I had the best experience with Highland. From walking through the home to purchasing to doing the walkthroughs with Yale, everything went as smoothly as possible and we couldn’t be happier with our home purchase. The quality of the materials used is very good, designs are beautiful and efficient, and there’s not wasted space. Yale was able to change out the things we didn’t like, add what we wanted/asked for, and above all else he is a very kind person. Even after we moved in he still comes to check on us or to help us find contractors for things we want to get done to the house (such as garage floor epoxy). We love our new home and everything about it. Our one true concern was some lack of focus on the details concerning the installation of grout, caulk, and paint throughout the house. We have noticed gouges in the seems throughout the house where there was lack of attention. Dustin has been great in addressing every issue to insure our new home is 100%.

I had a great experience purchasing a home from Highland Homes. I think it’s great value for the bucks paid compared to other high-end builders. My building manager Trey is one of the best. This was my first home-buying experience and he really made the transition seamless during the walkthrough and handover process. The team is also very responsive in addressing any challenges or issues identified.
