Had good experience with sales and builder. Did not have good experience when picking out interior Design.

This is a 55+ community and Del Webb has been building this type of home for many years. The design and build process is very streamlined. As with any design, the end product is only as good as the people who are doing a job. The home is structurally sound and well-framed from what we could see. There are a few options, there could be more for this age group, such as a walk-in whirlpool tub and ground level entry, in the event of wheelchair needs. Many of the costly upgrades do not seem to get the attention they require, and the warranty fix is relied upon heavily. The warranty people are great to work with, but only the items the homeowner notices are addressed. There should be checkpoints by a supervisor at the finish of every part of the process and then the home could be a "white glove" delivery without any extra cost of sending tradesmen/women back to finish. ... Everyone we dealt with was very professional and super helpful. Throughout the process we were kept in the loop the entire time. Our home was completed ahead of schedule which definitely was a plus!

Everyone was/is so helpful. I had never bought a house before, new or old. I was really in a fog but everyone I worked with went above and beyond their jobs, So friendly and even fun!

The people are very nice, you can have as little or as much to do as you wish. The weather is hot in the summers but overall a very nice place to live.

We bought in a Del Webb community in Vegas years ago and knew we would like Sun City Mesquite. We have not been disappointed. The community is beautiful and our neighbors have been wonderful.

The whole experience from start to finish was a good one. From the sales process, mortgage process and building process, this was by far the best and easiest home buying experience we have had. The deadlines we were told were met and we moved in right on time. There were a few workmanship issues like misplaced and mising doorstops, paint not completely done in a couple of areas, paint left on window frames, and stucco issues to name a few, but all the issues were minor and probably a result of the trades hurrying to meet the deadlines on a Friday night. Very nice home and community.

Upgrades, especially flooring limited selection, and very expensive. We had to take standard flooring, RIP it out and get what we wanted. And even with the cost of the standard flooring, the cost of removal, and the cost of what we got, we still save a lot of money, and we got high end flooring

excellent location, good quality of service and material

We have found some sloppy work but for the most part the home is better than average. Things I have not been happy about: needing a step to get from my car in the garage in with my groceries! For seniors this high step is dangerous. The front door is fine, why does the garage need such a high step? I have mobility issues and walk with a cane. I cannot get groceries in my garage/house door! Also there have been places with sharp edges, one at the shower, others at the island.

Make sure you get what you are told and what you see in your model

At the design center, ask for motion detection light in your walk in pantry. They are great! Wish I'd have asked for them in the garage and the entry into the house from the garage. Upgrade paint if you can, I went with "basic" and found that it is water based and will come off if you rub too hard if you mar your walls. After baseboards were installed, the tile people came back and grouted (why I don't know, as I always thought baseboards were to give that "clean" line between floors and walls). The job was poorly done and painter had to return to "fix" the look. Excess silicone was left on windows - think this may be a manufacturer oversight. Be sure to check all the detail work after moving in. My lead contractor on my house was very responsive, getting someone to fix things usually within a day or two; and came back himself to see if the job was done to my satisfaction. ... More

Several finish items that required additional attention are still not completed. This is partly due to our final move in doesn't occur till 11/20 due to personal delays. All other experiences with Dell Web, Pulte finance and Pulte Homes has been excellent and folks representing them great to work with. We just have the final detail work to finish.

Be more flexible to allow buyers to change floor plans would be great. Otherwise, my experience was great with Pulte. They have great website to track the progress, design center. Floor tile installment was very pricey, it would nice to include as standard base price.

Our sales person was very helpful and patient, never felt pressure and he was considerate of our situation.

We were kept well informed of any changes to lot availability and what to expect during the building process after we decided on the perfect lot for our needs. Once we did purchase our lot and select a home plan, the Pulte group was very helpful, and made each phase of decision making that much more enjoyable.

Workmanship could be better. Taking a month to replace tile and fix baseboards

Workmanship inside the house is fair. Looks like the things were done in a rush, not paying any attention to details. Very disappointed with the paint job done inside the house. Having painting redone at this time, doors , baseboards , walls . Found paint smears and drops all over our expensive floor tiles. Careless

Electrical is below average, placement of outlets and fixtures is terrible. We are correcting their mistakes!

In general it was an overall good experience. The build quality of our home was lower than past builders we have used. Cracked countertops, misaligned joints, lots of caulk to fill in excessive gaps. Upgraded cabinets are still cheap particle board. Floating cabinets were not secured properly needed repairs. Paint was water thin and builder painted around hardware on doors and electric trim. Seeing other homes being built next to us, it's kind of amazing Pulte is able to get these homes ready for the buyer. TRADES do not clean up, dust, debris, and garbage is left every where inside the homes until just before closing. Leaf blowers are not a normal home cleaning tool. We repainted the inside due to seeing drywall mud, texture peeling off. During the framing inspection, bare minimum code is met. No trimmer studs on interior doors, large framing nails protruding all over in wall cavities. 24" interior spacing of studs. Glass is scratched on sliding doors and windows. A level and tape measure would make a better quality home. Pulte's build time is very rushed 90 days. Fortunately, our area does not experience lots of inclement weather or earthquakes. Communication was good. Most buyers are out of town moving here, so Communication is important. It's disappointing to see some of my neighbors gutting a new home before move in. The upgraded options are EXTREMELY OVERPRICED, so alot of owners go standard and scrap them and hire outside contractors to upgrade. We will see how the warranty system works. ... More

Once the building of the home started we had to keep tabs on the process. Certain contractors were exceptional while others were terrible. Pulte stands by their product though so those items that needed correcting are being handled. Still, overall quality could be better of the construction.

The upgrades are overpriced, poor selection and manipulate buyers to spend unnecessary money to maximize your companies profits.
