Centex has not been a good experience. Everyone was warm and welcoming in the beginning, but they are not to be trusted. They force you to close before everything is correct and they tell you it’ll be no problem to get it fixed. Once you reach out, it’s hard for them to fix it. They cut corners and try to make you feel like you’re stupid or wrong for asking them to fix it. If I’m paying this much for a house, I would like it to be done correctly. Overall very disappointed with the quality of the material and workmanship. Interior space, layout, plan seems OK. But execution, quality material, workmanship, quality control, inspection process are subpar. The second day after moving we had to call emergency number for water leak in laundry room. You can imagine the experience. I had purchased two houses prior to this and were not this disappointed unfortunately. I am not recommending anyone to build or purchase Centex house.

We bought our brand new home on July 18, 2021. We found our "salesperson" Jessica Golden, to be pleasant and responsible, but as we moved on into our new home we have had many problems with our new construction home built by Centex. Centex Homes and Pulte have been the most unprofessional and unreliable companies I have ever encountered. No one answer the phone nor emails. We have a busted irrigation lines in our home. I'm moving date we had a water leak. Carpet how to get pulled up tack strips padding for the car pickup pulled up how to cut out sheetrock in 3 different rooms. And the house is very dirty when we moved in I'm going to make my second payment and stuff has still not all been fixed

No quality or pride in workmanship. Carpet covered in paint and drywall dust. Treated like damaged floors, switches, appliances, counters etc are normal for a new house. No processes whatsoever. Every attempt to fix just made worse because they hire the cheapest most inexperienced labor they can find.

I wish I could say I got my money’s worth, but I don’t feel that way. There is no team here, just one person trying to get the various workers to do their jobs. There was no opportunity to upgrade anything. The materials used seem cheap, the workmanship is shoddy. Someone came to fix a problem and made another problem that someone else had to come back and fix. There are gouges in the walls that should have been plastered and painted before move in. Fixtures are plastic. Entry level appliances, flooring, etc. I’m disappointed and resigned.

My honest overall experience has not been the best and definitely had room for improvement from day one of my experience. I experienced poor customer service not from all but a few. Believing Centex and Pulte are linked I had a fair share of issue with Pulte as well . After moving into our home, several issues were noted. One was the realization that the bathroom tub has permanent damage, namely, severe scratches and scuff marks that cannot be remedied by cleaning. Another issue was several scratches on the glass of the bathroom mirror. Those scratches, obviously, cannot be removed by cleaning. Centex has refused to remedy those issues. I was greatly disappointed with Centex. While the models of homes I saw seemed built to standard and maximum code, I quickly discovered this to be false. In the Month of November when I arrived to ensure the framing, and roughed in plumbing and electrical were to code I discovered that Centex hires subpar “contractors” who disregard building safety code. Never got proper keys or mail box keys. Made me pay for it without ever receiving. Salesman said 370 on house deal. Then they flipped back to 375. Leak in bathroom upstairs. Still havent dry walled the ceiling back in. Brand new air conditioning issues. 3 man holes out front that no one has addressed. Very disappointed.

It’s a Good House when you’re outside, Looking at it, But when you look in every detail inside the house you will see lots of problem, the doors are not properly aligned door jamb and all the woods have damage/dents, the concrete slab at the back of the yard is deteriorating, flood on both side of the house, no street light even we reported it to centerpoint, field manager never replied to your txt about your concern, contractor really rush to build the house
