Overall the home is good. However it does not appear that much attention was given to details. The finishing touches appears sloppy. For example there are stickers on all the outlets, the plater was not cut correctly where the plaster and floor of the garage meets, their is paint on surfaces where it shouldn't be.

I love my house! The few things I found that needed fixed in the first month they were very responsive to. A few hiccups in the contracting phase and with getting keys when I closed, but overall it was good. Bloomfield builds the best homes! I wouldn’t want another builder. Thanks for everything.

The 3rd party contractors were sloppy. There didn’t seem to be much care of respect for the property they worked on. Sod was not laid the best. Paint was literally everywhere from door to door. Gouges in the floors. Stains in my sink and tubs. Kitchen counter tops were stained. For such high cost high quality homes, the 3rd party contractors should be better. The lack of wi-fi capable products in 2022 is also a bit shocking. There should be at the very least an option to install smart devices without having to be restricted to one company.

We were not able to get upgrades we requested. Slab was poured early for plumbing requests. We did not have walk-thru prior to sheetrock installation and some outlets were no in our preferred locations. At times some frustration having appointments delayed or rescheduled. If not for a sound deal and some resolutions made, this rating would be less.

Overall, Bloomfield builds a great home. The only issues we had were a result of poor communication with the developer and utility services such as AT&T internet. Once we moved in we didn't have internet for a month. In addition, the pre wiring completed by the builder for internet is outdated. AT&T has had fiber direct for quite sometime now and the wires that are hanging (eye sore, hide them in a box) out of the closet are of no use. Finally, we have had to go to the post office to collect our mail as the developer failed to communicate with the post office and have keys ordered for the cluster boxes. The home is beautiful and we are overall pleased, just a few workman and build things that we missed that could have been done a little better.

If you decide to have Bloomfield to build your house make sure you continuously stay on top of the process because any hesitations can lead to something not going according to the plan of your home. I was supposed to have some recessed lights installed in my living room and because I took it for granted that they would install them, they did not get installed. I talked to the builder about it and they said it was nothing they could do about it because my ceiling was to high for them to go back and install the lights. In addition, the workers were urinating on the floor of my new home and I had to bring that to the project managers attention, but he acted like it was a every day occurrence so get it over it. My house turned out good, but I had to bird dog the builder until the end. If I had to do it all over again I would use another builder just because of all of what I went through to get the house built. ... More

Once I signed contract I never heard from anyone

I would say the building process was great! Kyle did an excellent job going over and beyond for us, especially coming in halfway through. Where I would say the I was not satisfied with the process was anytime I had to deal with the 2 salespeople. They never had answers, they were never forthcoming with all the information it always came through in pieces, they were not knowledgeable and made the process VERY frustrating. I would happily buy another Bloomfield home if Kyle built it but absolutely would not buy another one if I had to deal with the same 2 salespeople. The delivery of my home after I signed was absolutely disgusting, I just signed for a very expensive home and nobody knew where the keys were, and I was handed the keys and not given any information about the HOA, not a congratulations, nothing. One of the main reasons I bought this home was that “internet is included” was advertised I front of the sales office. That is an outright lie. It may be installed in the house, but it’s not included. You pay an extra fee every month. That’s like saying a radio is included in your car. But you can’t use it unless you pay a monthly fee for it. It’s dishonest and misleading. Also, I reported when I moved in that a shelf in my new fridge was cracked. It’s still not fixed. IT’S BEEN SIX WEEKS!!! I was suckered into this purchase due to false advertising. I WILL NOT recommend Bloomfield Homes to anyone I know. That’s sad, because the house itself is nice. ... More

Everything was organised and quick process

Buy Bloomfield if you want. I won’t buy another or recommend. Over priced and cheap material used. No back on cabinets. MDF trim is garbage. Cheap water stops with pex hanging out of the wall. No pre-drywall walk. I brought up issues they were corrected after the house was finished. They cut holes in the walls to fix the issues I brought up at framing stage. I’ve owned DR Horton and Gehan homes to me this was a step down on quality and customer service. Had a home Inspector come out half the items weren’t connected. He couldn’t finish his inspection. I wonder how this house closed for finals with the City with all the parts missing. I’ve never done the blue tape punch walk, and the final orientation on the same day. This guy wanted to go on vacation and was in a hurry. I don’t think Bloomfield hires the right people to watch over these construction managers for quality control. They also built a house same plan as mine except 11/2 story right next to mine with the same exterior paint. I’ve also been looking at trash that’s been sitting there on the corner by a dead end street months before I even bought this house. It’s still there today. I chose the Caraway plan, which is a lovely, spacious floor plan. The bedroom sizes are nice. My building process was a bumpy and unorganized first few months with the initial two community managers. Once Matt came onboard, communication was clear and consistent, he immediately cleared up all of the confusion in my documentation and I felt much more confident about the process going forward. The builder was not closely involved in overseeing the contractors work. There were items pending for weeks that could have been resolved much earlier and prevented the delay in my closing. Work that was done very poorly, sloppy even, was primarily the wall texturizing and painting. Upon multiple request fixes were completely but that shouldn't happen. Another disappointing discovery are the cabinets. They are the cheap particle board type, not wood. For the cost of the home, I expected better. You should know that you also can't paint them either because of the material, they'll swell; so, choose your color wisely. ... More

Overall, the home was here as we agreed, but there a lot of things that could have been done better. Issue: Certain things were decided for us that could have taken our input. Discussion: While this is not a total custom build, a few preferences decisions could have been requested to make the experience better. For example, the builders mistakenly put an outlet on our fire place. Mistakes happen, which is okay, but they could have asked us if we wanted it or not. Instead, they just left it there and wired the entire living area through it. Recommendation: Indy should pose more questions throughout the process. Issue: Indy failed to communicate where the gas lines were in the neighborhood Discussion: In the model home, we saw a gas stove and found it that it only came with the deluxe kitchen. So we added a deluxe kitchen thinking we would get a gas stove only to find out a week before closing we don't have gas. Recommendation: Clearly communicate where the gasoline are so that buyers know what their investment consist of. Issue: Indy does not use her assistant Discussion: it seems as if Indy is the only one who knows anything. The assistants are not trained or informed on the process. Recommendation: Indy needs time to train her team so that they provide value to the process. Issue: There is not a deliberate effort to strive for EXCELLENCE. Discussion: The home is built with the EXPECTATION that several things will be wrong, instead of trying to get things right the first time. I am sure this is simply part of the business model, but that should be communicated early on. Issue: Out of state home buyers Discussion: We were out of state home buyers and was not able to be here for the entire process. Other home builders have several meetings with owners to ensure things are build to the desires. Bloomfield did not have ANY meetings between us selecting upgrades and the walk through. That should not be the case. The entire process takes about 10-12 months so things could change from the start to closing. Recommendation: (1) Bloomfield should have at least two more meetings before the foundation is poured and before dry Wall goes up. Recommendation: (2) if you are out of state, You need someone who really knows your house to check up on everything on a weekly basis. High Point: Home Warranty Discussion: It is EXCELLENT!!! But it has to be because the house is not built to be excellent. David even allowed me to use it just to get someone to come out to look at our grass. Thanks David. Recommendation: Use the home warranty for everything. High Point: Indy allowing Disabled Veterans Benefit Discussion: My favorite interaction with Indy is when she ensured that I got all the savings because I was a veteran. I'm not sure what authority she has, but everything went according to what she said. Thank you Indy. 3 of 5 stars. Overall the experience has been just okay. There were a number of issues brought up during our walkthrough that are still unresolved after 10 weeks of living in our home. Promised due dates continue to be missed.

People have been coming to fix problems with the house since I moved in on 06/07/24 which they should have seen during the building process for instinct the broken window screen in the master bedroom

I was not intimated about the transition of hardware, the time i signed the house and then there was transition and i got a house with some new and some old hardwares with different colour combinations. I asked them to replace to any of the one alike combinations but i got a very good response saying that we can’t do anything its “corporate decision” Apart from this mismatch, pretty satisfied with the overall construction and the quality.

I have a water leak and I’m unable to find it. I received a two emails from the city of Cleburne saying that I have lost 2 gallons of water per hour for the last 18 days and I’m unable to find the leak. I’ve called and sent emails, but no one has returned my call. I noticed that I have a pillar that needed to add more concrete to the slab in the front of my home. Someone came to my house about three weeks ago told me that they would be back to fix certain items in the bathroom still have not heard back from them either.

I do not wish to do so at this time.

Bloomfield has nice design options and homes at reasonable pricing, but they charge for almost everything to upgrade. We’re happy with our home but found a lot of issues with the details and workmanship. They are responsive and try to solve the problems however. I would say they are an average builder from my experience. Probably wouldn’t not use them again if I had the choice.

I wish someone would have fully explained that there is three years of home automation service included with the purchase. The home automation company began calling me on my way home from closing and was very pushy making me think they were just another salesman. Warranty department needs improvement. I called in a warranty issue on December 4 and was never contacted by the subcontractor. Almost a month went by and I had to contact the subcontractor and begin the process with them. I specifically asked Bloomfield if the A/C units were conventional units or heat pumps and was told they were conventional. Wrong answer. They are heat pumps. ... More

Chris and Brandon were great to work with. Some materials Bloomfield uses are not equal in quality to the price of the home.
